Is it really a glitch? Maybe it was made so it would be more life like, players misjudge rebounds all the time. If you look at the replay if the ball didnt tip the rim it woulda fell right into dwights hands.

This is a canned animation that forces the other guy to jump before you do so your guy can do the putback dunk.

I do this all the time with my center, lol.

@FroobRadio Its not really a glitch just an animation. But like I said the animation is for realism people miss judge rebounds all the time. You might feel it is a glitch because every time you see it the other guy slams it down, but that is what would happen if you miss time the jump.

@FroobRadio It still isnt a glitch, its an animation. Thats like saying the animation in madden that allows a player to break through 4 tacklers is a glitch, no its an animation. A glitch would be something like dunking through the back board or dribbling with your legs. An animation isnt a glitch, the animation might make you feel like the game cheated you, but certainly not a glitch just an animation.

It was put in there for that to happen. Now you might think it happens to much, but its an animation not a glitch. You tell me what is glitchy about that animation? Does dwight jump through the back board? Does the other guy punch dwight in the face then take the ball? No. Its an animation.

yes that happens is so one play doesnt jump up at the same time that the offense rebounder get so they wont collide so they do animations so the game wont lok bad

This is NOT A GLITCH. The player timed the rebound poorly, if you want him to get the rebound, switch to Howard and you press the rebound button at the right time.

People time rebounds wrong all the time in the NBA, watch a game....

The thing is its not just some glitch its a boxing out glitch.

If you're getting boxed out you just click y and he jumps first and you'll most likely get the rebound on another y click happens all the time never over the back either which is worrying.

Oh and 2k10 is amazing but so many glitches... Live 10 is actually good aswell

I'm going to make a video response to this with a much bigger issue. I don't think this is a HUGE glitch any more than some of the basket interference calls I get in this same scenario. This is the AI playing the programming percentages and the physical player being poorly positioned to succesfully pull off the animation.

its not a glitch at all. maybe an issue with ai

it happens when the man being boxed out jumps. take this for instance, dalembert jumps early (altho he did not actually leave the ground, he started his jump) so the game registers it as a jump. this triggers dwight howard to jump in order to keep dalembert behind him

i have had this happen a LOT. try it if your being boxed out by a comp, just jump ridiculously early and he will jump too

There's a lot of glitches with rebounding. Especially in My Player. Tell me if this has happened to you: someone on the opposing team shoots. You box out your matchup, but, while you're still holding LT/L2, your player just stands up and lets his matchup around to get the offensive rebound and usually a score, causing your teammate grade to drop. This happens to me all the time.
