I create 4 different methods for each of the illusions. I've got a few ways of flying, for example. 1. Wires, 2. Pixie dust, 3. Powerful farts, and 4. Use the hot air in my head as a balloon. It took me 2 years straight, working around the clock to create that illusion. If you guessed wires, it's not a problem; because I'll keep the illusion and change how I do it.

It's bogus of YouTube to censor vids that reveal tricks and Copperfied is cracked. Unrighteously censor a video and it pops in 10 other places, and it gets more attention that it got before. At the same time, it's not exactly fair of TrickBusters to compare magicians to religionists performing fake miracles or paranormalist charlatans. Magicians from Houdini to James Randi and Criss Aggel have always done a great service in exposing fraudsters who misuse magic and claim supernatural powers.

actually it is true that he has different way sof doing his illusion maybe not 4 but at least 2 or 3. Take for istance slow mo duck if you see the youtube video of it and compare it to the slo mo duck live they are different. Right on David!! I know the principle to several magic tricks and the "magic" truely lies within the performer themselves. David Copperfield will always be tops in my bood as one of the best and he is truely an artist. In my eyes magic will live forever.

Not for nothing, but when I vanished in his Thirteen illusion a few months back. We were taken backstage and he showed us 4 different ways the illusion could be performed...and all 4 ways were Very workable methods. He urged us to share any of the other methods with our family or friends if they were grilling us about the trick. So I will validate that the whole "4 method" thing is true with him.

Magic is not meant to be just pondered until you "figure it out" or it is "exposed" to you and then just dismissed, and this is the problem with "exposure."

No matter ho badly someone "wanted" to know how it was done, once they learn, they dismiss that effect for as long as they remember that they "know" how it's done.

This phenomenon is still seen as a result of the masked magician shows. Many people who saw them have completely forgotten the methods they were shown, but if they see an effect that they saw on the show they will often dismiss it with an "I know how they do that" even though they honestly have no clue anymore.

It is sad because it simply kills any possibility of that performance obtaining its full potential.

As such, switch your method because someone may have hit upon the method you were using serves no purpose for the general audience. To them it will still be the same effect.

The thing about his "four method" explanation, aside from the fact that it is BS, there are many way's to accomplish one effect, but a specific illusion, or piece is usually very specific in its method, any who, my main beef is that the audience should not know the difference if you changed the method if the illusion and effect are the same.
