  • Wish my toast could be ready in 15 seconds

  • The voice at the end of the PSA sounds like Stormer from Jem.

  • I remember this. Classic television is the best.

  • I loved this as a kid!!

  • BACON YOU BITCHES I EAT IT ALL THE TIME AND IM NOT EVEN 80 POUNDS

  • I like my toast silent that way it dosen't scream when I eat it

  • can you believe i still eat this when i'm in a hurry. Talk about a strong message and yes my husband thinks it's weird.

  • So great to revisit this. One of my buds was lamenting the fall of the Saturday morning cartoon, so I had to send him this!

  • I haven't seen this in almost 30 years!

  • Hm, if only my toaster finished in 3 seconds like the one in this PSA. Are they seriously saying this whole process should take less than one minute?

  • my god that not only brings me back, but the richness of the message...its complimented by the richness of the melody in that tune. the piano with the harmony of the singing. times have changed, haven't they...sigh.

  • I'm in my late thirties and i remember alot of these. Time fir timer!!

  • You had the same VCR I had for years! Thanks for putting this up!

  • This is so awesome!! I haven't seen this is ages. Thanks for posting.

  • Quickfast!!!lol

  • Have you noticed that NO networks (ABC included) have any sort of nutritional PSAs EVER? ABC used to be so good about this sort of thing. Now it's all about selling CRAP and hardly anyone cares about eating right or all those good things.

It's sad. I remember this, Schoolhouse Rock and Time for Timer well.

  • I used to love this as a kid! I used to grab toast with a piece of ham or turkey then some juice

  • Dude, I'm 35 and I still sing this song all the time. I haven't heard it since I was probably 7 or 8 years old. I guess that says something about the power of a jingle on a young impressionable mind.

  • Where do people find these? Old videotapes?

  • Yep!

  • @eyeheartchrist It's great you had these. I know VCRs were expensive when they first started. And back then most of us just copied to watch later and erase. People weren't really thinking about saving things to watch regularly or save for years later back then. So many of these things aired so often back then you thought they'd be on TV forever.

  • @eyeheartchrist I still have a quickfast a lot. Only I carry it out with me. The travel quickfast.

  • I dont think I could bring myself to eat things that have arms, legs, smiling faces, and running around my kitchen smiling and waving at me.

  • @classicphile

heh That's why people don't eat when they trip on LSD!

  • We need to have these commercials back

  • There should be Vintage Television channels like that. They could work it out somehow! :-)

  • It would be good wholesome informaton, too.

  • @eyeheartchrist I have totally said the same thing so many times before! How cool would that be!!

  • from the ending era of the Depatie-Freleng studios.

  • Its something to see this commercial again!!

  • Yep, this came out in the 70's, but they ran until sometime in the mid 80's. I remember well. I'm 34 and still grab a peanut butter on toast as a quick snack from time to time. Awesome to see and hear this again.

  • Wow, messages from the Bod Squad. They had the best commercials.

  • yeah have a quicky!

  • This had to have been made in the early 80s, even though the vhs cassette was recorded in 1988

  • No this came out in the 70's.

  • seems like it. :-)
