@grold What the hell are you talking about? The Singer is f@cking awesome! What most people don't understand nowadays is that the way he's singing doesn't mean he sucks, in fact it takes more skill than most normal singing! If he wasn't the singer, well then this wouldn't be death metal anymore. And I do growls, and I know how hard it is to do them.

@Ruttomieli Melodeath (Melodic Death Metal) more specifically. Melodeath, unlike usual death metal tends not to use growls and may sound a bit more black metal but this is still death metal (Mixed with Folk metal) But some melodeath bands like Scar Symmetry and Amon Amarth do use growls

@ScarsOfTheForgotten Folkish black metal would be my opinion. The high-pitched vocals are the clearest of the signs of bm, and what comes to the rly heavy-sounding guitars, them not being dirty and kinda weak like in "true" black metal, that is happening more and more today in the actual black metal -scene, as well. Just listen to fresh Behexen, impaled Naxarene, Immortal and so on.
