Karen Dalton is awesome, though I don't think she ever recorded any of her own songs, I mean she added her own to them and this is definitely HER song, but it's a traditional song rather than of her pen.

This is cool - but you've got to hear the original Karen Dalton version played on a long necked banjo - I think it's on her "Something on your Mind" album which has been re-issued on vinyl recently. check it out.
