4 years later and you just made my job 10x easier. I am a web designer and idk how I missed this feature -_- I upload and re-sized over 3000 photos. had I known this I would have been working much faster. thanks for your help.
Also, found that if you know the width and height needed at the pics do not have to be approx the same size to work and will work with pics of multiple sizes.
This was something i wanted to do for a while and wasnt sure how to do it so thanks for the help. Just one bit of advice, it would be good if you could get to the point a bit quicker. It felt like it was dragging quite a bit. Not being ungrateful or anything just my thoughts. thanks.
If I want all photos to be 250px W by 150px H, I did image processor it made height different size on each photo deepening on hoe big, so I did actions way and said do no constrain perorations. That batch worked out good didn't look to pixelated but if I did say 59 is there a better way of doing it it has to be that size I'm very fussy.
Thank you- very clear. I was trying to do a batch resize by using Scripts, and then Image Processor, but it didn't seem to resize the photos to the size I had set. Anyway, this worked great, thank you!
excelente tutorial the best tip and solution i have found on the web so far it was getting on my nervs not knowing how to do it GRACIAS, there is a software calles acdsee very usefull aswell from mexico adios!
Woah! I just saw the whole video this is amazing I do time lapse videos and open about 10,000 pictures and just press an action on each of them and I would have to do it non-stop all day but this Batch option would've saved me about 15 hours of constant clicking, I will use this next time.
Fireworks batch process is 100 times better than PS, you just select batch > choose the folder > choose the options on resizing etc... click and done. PS for some reason has made it a bit of a chore.
I must add All, you have such a clear, non-tech way of explaining stuff...I am sitting by $120 (£80) worth of books I bought yesterday and they came no way close to explaining this process as nicely and neat as you. I am a BIG FAN of yours from this day on. London, UK salutes you!!!
I don't know about anybody else but I don't think that Photoshop isn't very intuitive and I'm a Computer Network Technical Support Engineer. Somethings just don't click with me like Linux and Photoshop. So, thanks for the help, dude.
Wouldn't it be easier to merely use the image processor for batch resizing? Or does your method produce a higher quality image?
Anyway, you indirectly answered my question. I've been searching long and hard for a tutorial that explains how to make a specific change to multiple photos. You Rock!!

Thank-You for posting this, you just saved me countless hours of time. I was resizing one by one hundreds of pics for my YT videos.
Thought I would search for resizing multiple pics at once and found your post.

got my problem already solved.
i had to click "Save As" and not just "Save"
so i just have to do the JPEG-Option once.
;)
thanks
pspjunkie777 3 years ago
hey your tutorial was really helpful, but i still got a problem.
I have PS CS2.
i just did everything like you did, but when i start Automate > Batch...
PS is asking me for the JPEG-Options, everytime it saves a picture. (just like in the first picture you showed. it comes up every time. i tried the
"Override Action 'Save as' Commands" -Box,
but it still didn't work.
can i switch that off or something? i don't want to press "OK" for every picture it resizes. how can i switch off this thing?
pspjunkie777 3 years ago
I don't need it much, but I occurred this once... so, really really useful!
Thanks a lot... great vid!
