I was impressed with the model with good facial structure, but the artist did not draw the outline of her face square enough along the jaws, and the painting was too skinny. His colors were excellent.

I wasn't impressed with the likeness of the model AT ALL. He has a great reputation and this demo doesn't do justice to it.

It is a lovely portrait- it just doesn't look like the model-- she has a strong jaw and not the bulbous nose -

@paintmixr1 I was thinking the same till I saw the painting at the end of the video. It might have looked different due to the painting's camera angulation... The nose is still diferent though xD

Not up to his usual standard - did not measure - did not establish a stable viewpoint in order to observe the visual information. The three rules are measure;measure;measure!

I've known about Greg Kreutz for many years and generally admire his work. There's some lovely mark making here! That being said though, he did not nail the likeness of the model in this presentation. The model's head and neck are wider. I must wonder, too, why talk in the beginning about laying in the positive space actively and then procede with the rest of the painting in such a plodding, deliberate way? One should paint dangerously throughout.
