To some extent, nitpicking is important. Small things can ruin the film. Then again, it varies from film to film (The Star Wars prequels are ideal examples why nitpicking is applicable, because such small things lead to a lack of emotional attachment)

@Hippohateszealots Those small nitpicks are usually contrived and cheap. I mean things like not seeing the effects on Coruscant, but war never effects the entirety of a nation, that is so excacurated, most wars affect part of a nation.

i agree with this guy even though i love some of his reviews reviewing lost and calling it dumb went to far

One thing to keep in mind is that NC's reviews are not to be taken seriously. His picking apart is usually not his real opinion, he's just finding something to pick on for the sake of humor, and some of them might even be done to make it funny that he's picking it apart so bad when he doesn't need to. He usually likes some of the movies much more than the Critic, even if he doesn't like them, exactly, he makes the critic like them much less than his real self, it works in comedy.

You do have some very thoughtful and good points, though I must admit that I enjoyed NCs review of the Lost World.

I will say in my defense though, that I took many of the NC's nitpicking and complaints with a grain of salt, since I generally felt he was overreacting.

I will agree that his attacks on Goldblum do seem rather mean-spirited and perhaps overblown. Perhaps Doug have just seen Goldblum act in that fashion a little too often.

That was my favorite movies of all time since when I was a little after Jurassic Park. Seriously to me, his reviews is getting me on my nerves. That's It, i think I'm done watching NC reviews even the other reviews from TGWTG.

I sorta thought it was odd you did'nt mention how Jeff had no idea about the other 2 who died and thats why he said 3 but Nostalgia had said jeff couldn't count.

JP and TLW are my favorite movies of all time but I am biased. I saw TLW in the cinema when I was 8 or so. I watched the video tapes like hundreds of times. It was a major part of my childhood.

Just Goldblum may have been good in The Fly (For the record I've not seen it so I don't know for sure) doesn't mean he was any good in this film.
