@TiraMzu Its was meant to protect the bands that would play there from the flying objects that would be thrown at them in case they played something that was not in favor of the bar..... Too bad that wouldn't work as well today
@takkunelwood I can't tell if you realized I was being sarcastic or not... I'm aware of everything you said and more. Like how the tarantula was Jon Lovitz.. Completely threw me through a loop when I was younger haha.
Those aren't prarie dogs or iguanas. Those are raccoons. I would know because I had to deal with those furry buggers for 2 years when I worked in Washington state.
What an amazing movie... You won't see any like this any more. There was so much creativity back then, when it took a lot of work to make these movies.
No one caught that because this was a Steven Spielberg production, they were able to use copy written material from his other movies. This was the original recording of "Rawhide" used during the bar scene from "The Blues Brothers".
I laid out all the animation for that sequence. I had to listen to the 'Rawhide' theme so many times (to work out the timing), that I started to hear the music in my dreams.
Great to see people still watch and enjoy this film.;-). You are right,it was very underrated.I actually worked on this film in London,England in 1990/91. I loved every min`of it and have such great memories of that time. If any of you have any questions, please ask me,I`ll answer as best I can ;-). Peace.
What was it like working with John Cleese as the voice of Cat R. Waul??? I love British actors and John Cleese is one of my fav! I was surprised to hear him in this movie since I haven't seen it in like over 10 years or something! I was all like, "OMG! John Cleese plays in this!? Wow!" Great villian! ;)
Hi TW1, I wasn`t responsible for recording the voices, but I did met John Cleese a few times, nice guy, very down to earth. He plays the villan very well. I haven`t seen this film for over 15 years. Must dig it out. I`m back living in Ireland now, where I`m from. I have to go now, e-mail me here if you wish ;-). Peace.
awesome song! this movie is an instant fave, and this anamation is just so flowy and amazing! best song of the movie (tied with dreams to dream)XD singing animals are awesome!
this used to be one of my fave parts from this movie when was a kid! lol. i find it kinda odd, but when it comes to thngs by steven speilberg, i prefer his animated works, like this and animaniacs. but i never cared much for ET.
I used to ask myself....what the heck is that turtle doing in the middle of the desert? lol I used to laugh so hard at that though...why are singing animals so hilarious
ok hugs oh by the way please look at my Video An American tail-In the Dark of the Night. Its a Cat R WAUL/Tanya pairing am quite pleased with it but I will remake it sooner the later. Please thank.
EEEEE I love that song! o_o Do you mind uploading the scene where Tiger is learning how to do the Lazy Eye? That's my favorite scene in the entire movie!
ROFL!!!! i haven't seen this movie in years, but it was my favorite as a kid. i had forgotten all about that part and when i read your comment, i suddenly got the mental picture of him trying to do the lazy eye and cracked up!!! LOVE it!!
They actually DID post it on youtube (I requested it). So if you search for "Tiger Training" or something you'll find it. My favorite scene is when he floats off the cliff and says "I hurt myself..." lol.
"I hurt myself", a class line indeed ;-). I actually worked on this film in London,England 1990/91. Great to see people still enjoy it. Any questions? Just ask ;-). Sorry to have repeated myself here, but it`s great to read these comments ;-)Brings me back to that time. I still have (legally) some artwork from this film. Peace ;-).

The fact that they chose The Blues Brothers version cracks me up. Seriously, picture Dan and John as various animated animals.

Fievel: Oh, Tiger, I almost forgot. How do I get to Green River?
[a tumbleweed stops next to them]
Tiger: Just grab a passing sagecoach.
[Fievel gets on it]
Fievel: OK. See you later. Adios!
[the tumbleweed tumbles away with Fievel]
Tiger: Sagecoach, get it? Sage. (Laughs) Aw, never mind.
