@dollat123 To go from a mms to a regular memory stick, connect your psp. Go to start, my computer, find your psp removable disk. Right click on it and select format and click on format.

my advice for u newbies watching this... its really complicated than it sounds..... my advice dont try it yet.... look up for other ways and other videos.... try deluxe one has every thing u need PLUS U CAN DO IT IN UR COMPUTER AND ALL U DO IS PLUG UR PSP AND DOES ever for u... copy paste files... cuz if u do not have files on right place ...it bricks ur psp or doesnt work.. there is a program that is easy to use to install CFW really easy to follow.

ive followed the steps and ive downloaded pandoras GUI v1.5 - but when i click on Write IPL it works for a few seconds, then an error pops up. it says failed to copy IPL and has a load of writing about unauthorised access exception.

it lets you download umds onto your memory stick so you dont need the UMDs anymore, it lets you put none official psp games on there such as the fan made psp version of halo, it lets you get youtube for psp, the list goes on.

yea the psp has to be 1000 and yea u got the right battery, make sure you have a magic memory stick, and the cfw in the right folder, it took me a few times to get it to work. If it still doesnt work then try doing it all from the beggining =]

When you get the Firmware, you can be able to download games and actually put movies on the PSP, but they have to be in MP4 Format otherwise it wont work to watch Video's. I just Downloaded FF7 Advent Children Complete in a MP4 Format and it works properly.

If you put your memory stick in then your pandora battery and the screen stays black. it means that your magic memory stick isn't formatted or it messed up when you formatted it.
