To be brutally frank, this decrepit warhorse of a tune has been overdue for the glue factory since about 1960. Even back then if was the bane of every Dixie jazzband in Western Europe -- patrons would insist on the poor critter being woken up and dragged from its stable. (Dutch audiences would demand "Do that song Van Der Zee"). That said, this is a most refreshing version. All solos and the vocalist swing out-the-window. The first few bars are by way of a tongue-in-cheek inside joke.
