Are you open to countering? I know how you feel. First, are you buff? If not, and you have a wife, and you REALLY want that to end, buff up. She won't try to tussle with you. And if she does, simply out maneuver her. She throws a punch, her arm goes behind her back until she calms down.
Otherwise, try and talk. But that won't do any good if she's aggresive.
