It may be a little sloppy but he makes it sound fantastic even if the song is a bit difficult for him. He's not afraid to try something difficult and share it with us. It's on the top 10 because it sounds fantastic and people like it! Nothing has to be played perfect to sound great, even people like Neil Zaza occasionally mess up (See his korean performance of I'm Alright and watch his face, he gets a bit down when he fucks up on one part)

I don't know why this interpretation of this amazing song is in the top 10 of youtube when you search for the song "FAR BEYOND THE SUN". It's a good interpretation yes but not great. Even there are many parts that are sloppy for example: The passage after the intro has not a good acent because he does the acent at the last note. At min 0:27 when he bends up he strikes with the 2nd string and it makes a bad noise. I can see another mistake at min 1:05 by listening a bad noise,

The scale should be F sharp - G sharp - A - B - C sharp - D - E Sharp (5th of A key which it's with E sharp) - F sharp - G sharp - A - B - C sharp and finishes in D. And some notes are not sounding. At min 2:35 the acentuation is wrong. At min 2:53 there is another sloppy movement. At min 3:50 sloppy again. Min 4:23 there is a bad noise in the middle of the scale. Min 4:36 there is another sloppy movement at the arpeggios...

@gonzlusen The part at min 4:57 is a bit out of tempo. At min 5:35 there is a sloppy movement and the acentuation is wrong because these are Triplets so the first note of each triplet should mark the difference there.

Anyways, I am not saying he is a bad guitarrist and also i don't want to sound critical, i just want to make a constructive review. Maybe this is not his style. I have listened to some other of his songs and i can say he is a good guitar player. Peace.

@gonzlusen I have heard of nitpicking but this is truly something else. If you can point out all those "mistakes" that accurately then you are focusing on the wrong thing. This is music not science. Imo this guy played the song perfect. And do take note on that in music perfect isn't always flawless. There is much more to music than just right notes at right speed, accent and rythm.

id recommend a strat for this song but thats probably only because im used to the tone the strat gives when malmsteen plays it so this sounds slightly different to me, still sounds awesome mind! only some of the shreddy parts sound about robotic if that makes sense. still this is 10x better than anything i could do! =P rock on man! nicely done =) and nice vibrato btw!
