Thanks for this version. I have it on EL PASO ROCK Vol. 2, which has selections from 1962-64.
Do I hear influences from the Beach Boys and the British Invasion? It's always a nice surprise to hear new (to me) versions of their work. Bobby was a fanatic (no pun intended) at recording multiple sessions of their tunes.
Bobby Fuller was one of those people in rock n' roll who you STILL feed saddened that he passed away so young. I was only five when he died and discovered his music, obviously, much later in life.
'I Fought The Law' and others continue to put a smile on my face despite having heard them maybe a hundred times over the years.

His death was doubly tragic, being a young man of enormous promise, who was murdered, and that his killer(s) were never brought to justice.

He was absolutely poised for some kind of major breakthrough hybrid of rock 'n' roll, surf, blues, country, & soul. A very serious loss to music.
