If it is playback, it's not from the original CD recording. The words she sings are different than the CD cut from Free Spirit, and on top of that, her tempo of the words if way different. I truly think this is a live perfomance.

You are right! We agreed on that. Further, I want to point out that Stevie Wonder is much better than Michael Jackson. After listening to Michael's real live performances, I got disappointed. Most of the Billie Jean performances were lip-synced. Michael's real live Billie Jean was disappointing. Stevie is much better!

sorry but all artists have the version of cd and 2 or 3 versions for "LIVES" like that. And this version is one of them. LIVE is only at concerts or one or two TV programs. (Sorry for my english).

I agree, not playback! You can tell- her voice fades when she pulls away from the mic. Basically is like keraoke without the teleprompter. As a pianist, I have used that with a recording of the orchestra, but my playing is live. Works great!

yes sir! however, Bonnie Tyler sang Total Eclipse of the Heart written by Jim Steinman who also wrote this song. Meatloaf wasn't around, so he wrote both for Bonnie. Air Supply took "Making Love out of Nothing at all". Still, I rather hear it rock more than have some drum machine in the background!
