Yes, I have been there when the light has gone out of the eyes of several of my beloved furries, and my heart stops each time, and each time, part of me has gone with them. What a beautiful, heartfelt tribute. I came across your video looking for Sheltie videos. I lost my doggie just 2 weeks ago (he wasn't a Sheltie, though), so I know your pain. He was the greatest little dog and we miss him deeply, but I like to think he had a great life, just like Comet. I hope my doggie and your Comet meet on the other side. :)
@jonaheggers Thank you so much! It's been nearly two years now but I still miss him every day. I have another dog now, one I love and care about too, but I don't think I will ever experience that same special bond I shared with Comet. Comet was a twin soul; they don't come along very often.
i am going to loose my black lab soon she will be 13 by next april and today its july 31st. she may live another five years but i do know that 13 is very old for a dog. 7X13=91.... i will miss her but i am prepared for it. we spend every day we can spending time together and she has a son that is also my dog and he can carry on her legacy.
