  • Lol what a fear monger. He is worse than Limbaugh

  • With the exception of the "tea party bastards" comment I do not think anyone can disagree with anything K.O said here.

  • have you stopped long enough to think what he is saying just might be true

  • @SteveHoward09

Wow...you are the biggest, closed-minded dumb-ass I ever came across. I can't believe you actually think Bush and Palin ARE educated....wow, go back to your trailer and suck on the dicks you so secretly long for....

  • He describes the Tea Party movement like the Sturmabteilung (yes, I'm going there), and describes a Night of Long Knives in their future. I hope we don't come to that point.

  • He's a socialist....Loved him at ESPN. But he went from Joe Six-Pack to Joe Stalin very quickly! He's good....and I admire his talent, but he certainly sold his soul for a huge paycheck. And that's OK. Actually it's great. That's what's capitalism is all about.

The funny thing is, the very idea (concept) of capitalism, that he rails against nightly, is exactly why he is making millions of dollars a year.

If he is as smart as everyone says, maybe he answers that ironic situation on his show.

  • @Flyyyy ...tuned in to some sporting event awhile ago (NBC), and for some reason Olbermann was one of the commentators. I turned it off immediately. I refuse to listen to this sanctimonious Collectivist ass in any sporting context.....I do watch parts of his MSNBS show to see what he feeds his gullible admirers....you'd think that no Mob Union money or wealthy elitist Utopian money (Soros,etc/) comes to "progressives". You know--Progressives--the ones with all the failed Collectivist ideas.

  • @baldrad

    I agree with you totally.

  • @danolson68

You're obviously a corporation supporter and for the destruction of our US Constitution and for the rights and power of the American people! Most importantly...you are a MORON!

  • What do you expect from lawless men? Six of the nine Supreme Court justices are Roman Catholic, whose religion has chosen to expunge Two of the Ten Commandments: the 2nd and the 4th. And these justices stand under the auspices of the most powerful and unrepentant religion of Earth. This nation has allowed them to determine the supreme law for the American people, while these supreme justices, who live in open sin, stand morally unfit to lead their own lives, let alone the lives of others.

  • Since our government is, in fact, our national service staff, no elected or appointed official, or government employee has the right to express personal opinions on religion, race or any subject other than that directly involved with the performance of their clearly-described and assigned duties. Pink slips can be printed much faster than paper money. Something good and something huge is happening.

  • Murder of Democracy??? Great now we can have representational government again! Thats called a Republic... where people have the power.... whether Black, White, Asian, Latin, even penguins! You see keith... I included even you!

  • History already shows gross negligence to campaign finance rules. Look back at '08. While corporations have no place in political campaigns, you have to keep in mind the super-majority party which passed this law is the SAME ONE that broke every single campaign finance rule. So WAH! Cry in your coffee Olbermann. Does that knife in your back hurt?

For once I thought he was going to just report news rather than whine and bitch Fox. But he's too petty. Blew it at 5:18. LOSER!

  • Because the N.Y. Times or conservative newspapers run an editorial is irrelevant. They DON'T run ATTACK ADS on TV.

Any corporation can now tell legislators they'll be the target of relentless attack ads if they vote AGAINST corporate wishes

Credit card & insurance companies, banks & Wall Street can now dictate to legislators & EXTORT any politician in America. If they object, they're on the HIT LIST. They dont even need to do it, just threaten.

    Corporatocracy USA!!!

    It's scary!

  • @goog2k : The "news" reminds me of Goliath yelling at everybody and scaring the weak-minded ones among us. David handled it then, and a "new and improved" David will come out of seemingly "nowhere" and handle it in America. He's here, he's watching and he's listening. Let the scoffers hoot and holler all they want. It's done. Let's give them something to complain about.

  • I agree 100% with Olbermann!!!!

Corporations shouldn't be allowed to influence elections!!!!

Only unions and personal injury attorneys should be able to influence elections!!!!!

  • olbermann who doesnt allow any dissent or conservatives on his show is for freedom of speech...

    i doubt it

    hypocrite

  • @SteveHoward09 you're a moron.

  • Why doesn't Keith iBlowmen just move to Iran, Cuba, or Russia... he would fit right at home within their media outlets.

  • Lt1hillbillie-ho the Clown, I see you're expanding your repertoire. Now you talk about slapping women, thinking with that germ-size brain of yours that you're being funny and laughing at your own shocking stupidity. Well, imbecile, you're not funny. To be funny you'd need to be smart and it's clear to anyone who happens to read you that you cannot stand how stupid you are and like to escape that reality by distorting it with ludicrous interpretations of history and vulgar misogynistic fantasies.

  • The next time they give you all that civic bullshit about voting, keep in mind that Hitler was elected in a full, free democratic election

  • Who is this Goober?

  • "Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." -- Benito Mussolini

Enter the Rise of the Fourth Reich. I hope you enjoyed your freedom while it lasted. Que sera, sera!

  • Well. lt1lily-ho, at least you're not a masochist. I hope you stay in the gutter I sent you back to. There should be plenty of the Faux News GOP crap you love so much there!!!

And I am my own boss, you douchebag!!! But I like to sweep the floor with pseudo, quasi, wanna-be, stupintellectuals like you during my spare time...so anytime, microbe!!!!

  • Keep going, clown lt1hillbillie-ho!! Make us laugh!!! Make us laugh with more pseudo-American history and superior-intellect jokes!!! To make us laugh, that's all you're good for, clown!!!

  • valley: I thought a mirror was quite sufficient for all you liberal trash to get a good laugh and now you tell me even that is not enough anymore?? Keep on your search for comedic fulfillment and one day your grin will return. I mean if this olberman retard is not enough to make a lib laugh then theres always President Curious George.

I would call you a moron, but I don't want to insult morons.

Farewell kool aid drinker and...get a job.

He he ha ha ho ho. Laughter...good for the soul.

  • lt1hillinghow: Read some history and stop pretending to be smart!!! You are deceitful, sir, not smart!!!

The Compromise of 1850 clearly showed what was the main concern of the South during that period: their purported right to have slaves!!! Did you skip this part in your handsomely-rewarded, poorly-researched study of American History??? You are a disgrace and people like you, who distort facts and, most of all, American History, should stick to reporting on Faux News!! Clown!!

  • Oh and yeah....have a nice life, lib. Didn't want to forget and leave that out.

    NEXT!!!!!!

  • Slaves were sold to the White man by the black man. In other words, the black man sold his own kind for money. The blacks who sold the black slaves beat them severely when they were not chosen by the white man to purchase. But you never hear or read about that either. You only hear the liberal history lies spewed out by the likes of this moron olberman. Did anyone know that Alex Hailey's ROOTS story was proven to be fabricated? Again, more liberals hiding that fact too. Do the research.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE , sir....why are you......such a hate spewing.....person of twisted knowlege?

  • walldodger: Hate spewing?? Call it what you will. Anytime the actual truth is told about a big liberal lie issue then here comes the clowns out of the woodwork to try and discredit the deliverer of the truth instead of researching and seeing for themselves. Why do you partake of the kool aid? Never mind, don't answer. Anytime a liberal speaks there is no telling what kind of twisted crap will come out. Sir.

  • Slaves when brought into the state of Virginia in the mid 1600's had accepted conditions attached to them. All slaves after eight years had to be freed and were. Plus after those eight years all slaves when freed were GIVEN fifty acres of land and tobacco seed. 99% of ALL slaves were treated excellent and were considered extended family. Who is going to own something and mistreat it and then expect a good return on their investment when it can't perform? Answer: No one. Those are the facts.

  • Yummy, Fascism! Yay!

  • Olberman is a moron.

Corporations can now create their own advertisements in support of or against specific candidates. They cannot "put people" into office.

There is no reason to think that a group of people do not have the same rights as a single person.

Of course, elitist liberals think the average person is a bumbling idiot who blindly does what they are told. So I can see how this moron thinks this.

  • You are a moron!!!!! Billions are spent on advertising every year!!! WHY??? Because advertising has no effect on people!!!!! Don't be naive!!!

  • You really think corporations spend billions on something that has no effect on people? hahahahaha

  • Hm... did I say advertisements have absolutely no effect? Can you read?

When you see an ad for something new, do you drop everything so you can run out and buy it?

Or, if it happens to be something that catches your interest, do you look into whether or not you want it?

"Democracy" relies upon the free exchange of information. What is stupid is the idea that restricting the flow of information will result in people making more informed decisions.

  • I just saw an ad for a new toaster. Does that mean I have to go out and buy a toaster now?

Advertisements do something: They inform the listener/reader. The idea that allowing companies to speak openly about a candidate will result in people voting however the company demands is just stupid. Most people do not blindly do what they are told...

  • With all due respect, you're missing the point. Your analogy is flawed. The focus of an ad is narrow. The scope of its influence is limited to its relevance. In other words, you may not go buy a toaster after seeing an ad of one, but you may be more likely to buy the brand you saw on the ad whenever you need to get one. I hope this is is clear.

  • Your argument still centers around the idea that people will blindly follow what they are told, and only by restricting the flow of information can we insure they don't make a "bad" decision.

The idea that the flow of information must be restricted so that the unwashed masses will arrive at the "right" decision is a very scary principle to employ in any form of "democracy."

  • @bldgy- right on. This is a basic belief of leftists- that individuals can't think for themselves, and some elite (a la Plato) has to limit the distribution of information for them.

Btw, it is ironic that KO spends so much time denouncing Fox News for their bias given that even if they're indeed biased, no one can deny that they actuallly put people from different sides and let the viewers hear both. Olbermann does not.

  • I never said anyhting about blindly following anyhting. I don't subscribe to the idea that information must be restricted and I agree that that would be a scary principle but I think I don't see how that is relevant in this discussion. Perhaps you can elaborate.

  • Actually, unlimited corporate advertising spending, as I see it, is the idea that Corporations want to influence the "unwashed masses" with so much propaganda as to assure that the votes necessary to install their handmaidens are ensured. After all, this system still requires the vote.

Statistically, he with the most campaign cash wins. Putting million$ into disparagement of a candidate can tip those scales. It's called "undue influence." For example, see: Swift Boat PAC + Lies.

  • @MzProgressive Right, because the unwashed masses blindly follow exactly what they are told.

Oh wait, that is the liberal elitist point of view...

Under such idiotic logic, one could argue that absolutely no one should be allowed to speak freely, else the unwashed masses may listen to the wrong person. But I guess that is the liberal mantra, isn't it: Anyone voicing anything other than liberal ideals should not have a voice...

    "Statistically.."

Where are the election stats you are drawing from?

  • The Civil War was not started or fought on the issue of slavery.

  • Dude, slavery or, rather, the abolition thereof, was at the root of secession!!! Don't be ridiculous!!!!

  • THE cause for the Civil War was the Northern states wanting a piece of the Southern states profits from exports. Unfair taxes were imposed and the Southern states seceded on the grounds of States rights. At the exact start of the Civil War there were more slaves in Massachusetts than in Georgia. Dig into the history of the Civil War and you will uncover the real facts. I've done my research and have been rewarded handsomely for it. Don't be ridiculous dude. If you don't know then learn.

  • If corporations are considered "individuals" in regards to campaign finance, does that mean they will be held to the same finance restrictions as individuals? If so, each corporation would only be able to give $2400 to a candidate in any given election.

  • @dgkmkknrg

But no limit on their political advertising -- it's not contributions directly to candidates that's the problem

  • Wait a minute. People are upset because "giant aggregations of power" will now decide our elections?

What do you think the Democratic and Republican Parties have been doing for over a century?

  • Good luck with that -- most of my 'fellow Americans' don't have the awareness and mental fortitude to even realize how bad this situation will become, let alone act upon it when their 'in the booth'.

  • More proof--as if this was necessary anymore--that Bush is the worst president that ever lived!!!!!

  • Of course, there is a simple solution to all of this.

All voters have to do is vote FOR the guy who has the largest number of negative ads produced about him (or her), because, obviously, his opponent has all the corporate money.

Then, ignore all advertising altogether and get real information from objective journalists writing for outstanding newspapers.

  • ReliableInsider, that is an excellent plan. Problem is, the "average" i.e. dumb-ass citizen doesn't possess the critical-thinking skills necessary to follow it.

  • Aw, reading newspapers ain't that hard.

And think, if we all did it, we'd save journalism. And, as an added bonus, America.

I actually think Keith Olbermann is extremely underrated. Who else on television is sounding the alarm bells here? On this and a hundred other issues. Such as torture.

I don't understand how our country fell apart in eight short years. Under Clinton people started saying that the market might just keep on going up and never go down again. We were all giddy.

  • Actually that's an example of the dumb-ass lack of knowledge I referred to in my previous post. Isn't it what used to be called "General Knowledge" that the stock market ALWAYS goes up then down. Sadly the dumbing-down of society has been so thorough there is no "general knowledge" anymore, only general ignorance.

It's in the best interests of the powers-that-be Mr. Olberman is speaking of to keep the people as ignorant as possible so they can be easily led into giving up all their rights.

  • True.

When Americans find reliable sources of unbiased information and learn to tune out all campaign ads and all hate radio, then the powers-that-be will be the powers-that-were.

  • What more proof do people need that Democrats and Republicans are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

Republicans are ecstatic that corporations will be given human rights and that the "human rights" of corporations will be put ahead of the rights of human beings.

    Democrats are sickened.

  • doesn't matter... our economy and political policy is interweaved with all national countries...

an organism is affected by infection of any of its parts

  • And George Bush and the brain dead republicans strike again. Honestly, given time EVERY idea that conservatives have ever had is wrong!!

  • How typical of a con. Name calling and profanity like an 8 year old having a tantrum. Why don't you comment on the actual issue here? That's right, that would take half a brain, which you don't have. Have a nice life living in squalor in your corporate shithole. You, and the rest of this retarded country deserve it.

  • Anyone who has even the faintest idea about how the US political system really works knows that corporations and other special interests have been buying off politicians and it is these organizations and their money that run Washington. Corporations most they likely will prefer to use their influence behind closed doors as per usual and contribute to campaigns quietly rather than put the spot light on themselves by running their own commercials. The US is going down the hole because of it.

  • What the...? Olbermann actually thinks that this ruling is worse than the one that was a contributing factor to the Civil War?!? Seriously? Jon Stewart! We need another smackdown!

  • well one took away some social rights... one has the potential to take away nearly all sociopolitical rights and therefore social rights

  • @Kippest: Corporations will get to *run ads* later into the campaigns. That's it. We will be subjected to more ads around election time, which will likely prompt people to *turn their TVs off* sooner, rather than later. Candidates can counter-act this by summing up their platforms clearly and unambigously. I'm sorry, comparisons to the Civil War are both premature and a bit offensive. "Thousands enslaved is no worse than companies endorsing political candidates! O NOES, THE SKY IS FALLING!"

  • In reality, Congress has been bought and paid for long before this Supreme Court ruling. Politicians have just gone about their transactions a little differently than through corporate funding. Perhaps, you might consider how members of Congress have purchased stock in businesses who are most likely to profit the most because of their legislation. It has already happened in America long before Robertson sided for the corporation.

  • who are you ?

you can not restrict speech in the us the end

wa wa wa wa quit your crying

do you know what the real fear you have is

that when obama won yall had to pull out every trick in the book and the nbc/cbs/abc/bbc/did every thing in there power to sway the election for obama and he won buy a thin line and you know that if the real magorty in this great nation wakes up and gets out and votes your obama and his plans to strip away freedom from the people will fail

  • The facts disagree with you. Obama did not win "by a thin line." He won by 10 million votes and won by a much greater margin than Bush beat Kerry with in 2004. (Obama got 66,882,230 votes over McCain's 58,343,671) Karl Rove called GW Bush's victory as a "mandate" by the Amerian people. Do you now agree with Karl Rove that Obama has a mandate?

And talk about "stripping away freedom" The GOP led Patriot Act ripped the Constitution to threads.

Google Rights Lost under Patriot Act.

  • the vote's he won buy where every last vote that they can and will ever get to drag there lazy buts out of the house and the apposing side was asleep

and the fear yall have is that you will not catch us asleep in 2010

you have just begun to see the conservative party wake up and get off there buts and vote

and this great nation will remain in the hands of the people

  • the "apposing side?" Get off "there buts?"

    wow.

Are all conservatives as smart as you?

  • Lincoln wanted him arrested for his views during a sensitive time.... Overbite is clueless.... You just dont walk up to a people and say let them be.... Lincoln knew how to go about it. This is what happen when you are wordy and verbose, but dont have a clue how to read between the lines!

  • This is all speculation.... and assumption!

  • What is this guy complaining about he should be jumpin up and down that Unions can now give money publicy to the canidate of their choosing. The only reason he is not is because it balances the playing field. And yes corporations are people, well in the sense they are run by people same with unions.

  • Wow, lot of you folks aren't too bright.

Unions, outspend corporations? Yep, and Stephen Hawking can kick Mike Tyson's ass. The corporations will GIVE THEMSELVES all the rights and take the people's away. Sue corporations? Sorry, the 'frivolous lawsuit' bill put an end to that... so what if your kid died from tainted food. They will BUY politicians to do their bidding. Unless this is overturned, it is the end of Democracy. You will only know what they want you to, and they will keep us divided.

  • @LynnVicia You are absolutely right..we are heading towards "Idiocracy" at light speed. Apparently most people don't get what corporate fascists do and are...and the Roberts court just handed a major victory to them...it is really sad to see Democracy die..Strength and Honor! Cat

  • Actually Overbite, unions could do it before...this evens things up...quite a bit...

...but then I don't imagine he likes that very much.

Winessing this guy implode has become something one can view daily as through a series of remarkable events the left's world crumbles.

  • What Union has as much money to spend as Exxon Mobil? Unions will be crushed by the flood of Corporate money into politics.

  • Yea...sad isn't???

    LOL

  • Olbermann is such a drama queen. The first amendment has been upheld. People can now donate to the candidate of choice singly or in large groups. We OWN the corporations and we ARE the unions. What he is really crying about is the demise of media being the only force in deciding whose message will be shared. Media was the king maker last election. No more. This man is the biggest lying, crying, whining, embarrassment on any news media. He almost makes Maddow and Huffington look sane.

  • This idiot is a one-sided douchbag. For the things he says and the pathetic ways he says it should be fired. Fucking left wing nutcase. And he sucks at both politics and sports broadcasting. Hope he has a stroke so he will shut the F up.

  • Keith Olbermann is so smart.

    He speaks the truth

  • His description of the Tea party is spot on.

  • Capitalism at it's finest.

If this is not overturned, if anything is to be the spark that sets a socialist revolution ablaze, this is it.

  • MSNBC is owned by GE.

    Yep a huge corporation

Olberman is their hypocritical mouthpiece. And he is a fucking liar.

  • Brilliant logic

  • Corporations and major industry have been running this country from the inception of it. The much overhyped founding fathers were men who merely wanted control, power, and money for their own in the end and basically took it away from the British.

Why are any of you whiners so angry and have your proverbial panties in a bunch? Industry and businesses have been calling the shots since day one in the USA and the world. I say if the corps run it all they should have a voice too

  • Comment removed

  • If it's nothing new why did they have to vote on this? Why the alarmist response?

This is new, sweeping and very, very bad. I hope you're not young darlin' because this is your life and it is not going to be fun. Notice what the credit card companies do now? Notice how your salary "grows"? Notice the daily rape? This is just the beginning. Pray.

  • It's crazy that your comment was marked as spam. Who would do that?

  • @biantai888 A brain dead asshole would do that. lol.Doesn't surprise me.

  • @gje - what are you talking about? Do you know anything of our founding fathers? They almost all died penniless and powerless. George Washington was offered the kingship and turned it down! They ENSURED that the ultimate power remained with the people. If we don't like this ruling we stand up and force the legislature and president to change the constitution just as we have before.

  • Just what we need - more sleazy corporate whores blaring political commercials on my TV. Thank you so much Mr. Bush for appointing these robotic, neo-con scumbags to the Supreme Court. If our Founding Fathers were alive today, Chief Justice Roberts and his cohorts would be hanged in the Town Square.

  • Scumbags.... I like that . I usually say

    monsters. Both - very good.

  • this decision is good and bad.

little guys could raise money easier but the big dogs could easily solidify their place at the top

  • So it's all about money then, no merit at all. Eh. It's bad alright, real bad.

  • Olbermann the court didn't sanction Murder. THEY FUCKING INTERPRETED THE CONSTITUTION!!!!!

  • They interpreted wrongly. Read the dissenting opinions.

  • I know the dissenting opinions interpreted WRONGLY. The majority was RIGHT

  • @moltenchromium

    Shouldn't that read "MoltenCranium"?

  • Long live free speech.......

  • Keith Olberman is now Mr Histrionics and Mr Beck is Mr Weepy and O'Reilly is Mr Blowhard.

  • The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to POISON THE CHANNELS OF PUBLIC INFORMATION.

With a fascist the problem is never how best to present the truth to the public but HOW BEST TO USE THE NEWS TO DECEIVE THE PUBLIC into giving the fascist and his group more MONEY or more POWER.

  • The American fascists are most easily recognized by their DELIBERATE PERVERSION OF TRUTH AND FACT. Their NEWSPAPERS and PROPAGANDA carefully cultivate every fissure of disunity, every crack in the common front against fascism. They use every opportunity to impugn democracy...

  • Still another danger is represented by those who, PAYING LIP SERVICE TO DEMOCRACY and the common welfare, in their insatiable greed for money and the power which money gives, DO NOT HESITATE surreptitiously TO EVADE THE LAWS DESIGNED TO SAFEGUARD THE PUBLIC FROM MONOPOLISTIC EXTORTION."

  • THEY CLAIM TO BE SUPER-PATRIOTS, BUT THEY WOULD DESTROY EVERY LIBERTY GUARANTEED BY THE CONSTITUTION.

They demand FREE ENTERPRISE, but are the SPOKESMEN for MONOPOLY AND VESTED INTEREST.

Their final objective toward which all their deceit is directed is to capture political power so that, using the power of THE STATE and the power of the MARKET simultaneously, they may KEEP THE COMMON MAN IN ETERNAL SUBJECTION.

  • Comment removed

  • "In an effort to ELIMINATE THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY RIVAL growing up, some monopolists would SACRIFICE DEMOCRACY ITSELF.

    - from "The Danger of American Fascism", by Henry Agard Wallace, the 33rd Vice President of the United States, in The New York Times, 1944

Note toTeabaggers: I suggest you read the Vice President's entire essay, and carefully consider who and what you're supporting.

  • avatar723: Wow! That was amazing.

  • @redmoonspider

Yeah, pretty incredibly spot-on prescient, huh? Vice President Wallace was apparently one of the Good Ones, a true patriot.

Cut, paste & pass it on--we need an informed citizenry if we're going to REALLY "take our country back".

    The war has begun.

Speaking of prescience, have you seen the Lincoln quote about this issue?

  • avatar723: I would cut & paste but I have no business getting involved with your country's politics. I'm Canadian.

I love (sarcasm) how people in dif. countries on youtube malign the U.S. truth is....did you know, no politician in Canada cheated on their spouse?takes payola?we don't torture? truth is we're so corrupt you'll never hear about it.

American's at least are open about it.

and your right it's really facism...threatening it's socialism is "smoke and mirrors".

    cheers

  • *****KUDOS KEITH***** I know it's difficult to teach the lethargic; but continue speaking out telling America exactly the way it is despite those who would rather silence the truth than be exposed!!!!!

  • PS Keith Olberman is way too dramatic. He's basically the counterpart and anththesis of O'Reilly and Beck on FauxNews. The only difference is that Olberman gives his own leftist spin on things while Beck and O'Reilly spin things to the right politically and culturally.

  • Give it rest, At least Olberman has the balls to speak of the real reality of corporate fascism ffs. It's officially legal. What do you want him to do, "tone" it down and sugar coat it?

  • @WolfArden44 why don't you give your liberal histrionics a rest along with buddy-boy Keith? you get so dramatic and angry at things anyone with sense knew existed 20 to 40 years ago. did you really think you lived in a make-believe world where you the citizen were the master of everything and everything would turn out as roses for you and your made-up mindset? how rosy and delusional your glasses must be. but have fun in your lefty slanted viewed world

  • Yep it may existed, difference now, it is officially legal, don't you get it? The entire Political system is hijacked man. We as a nation whether liberal ,conservative, or independent, our votes and voice doesn't mean shit, the political system is in fact a corporation, ran by the corporations, it is fascism. Legally now, hello.

  • Comment removed

  • @ gje313 "Lefty view of world?" WTF is wrong with ya? I happen to be an independent. Regardless of political affiliation, we are all fxxxed, ya get that? It's official now fgs. Our leaders are screwing all of us to the wall. ALL of us.

  • @WolfArden44

Don't waste your breath on the mentally challenged.

Idiocracy + corporatocracy = end of democracy

"We are on the precipice of being so IGNORANT that our democracy is threatened.

    - Walter Cronkite, 2003

  • @ avatar723,

    Amen ;-}

  • There is no good news here. We the people are cockroaches to these monsters. . .and that is how we'll be treated.

PS We also have a private army. It's called Blackwater - name recently changed.

  • @avatar723

you are so sad and stereotypical in action. no ones falls into your viewpoint of the world so therefore they are completely wrong and you of course are the guiding light of reason an the proper course

do you really think most people 80 years ago sat around pontificating like you about the government and worldly forces? no, they had lives and things to do of worth Do you think most citizens of Rome were news junkies? no they had lives and not condescending youtube trolls like you

  • @ gje313: You're fxxxked up in the head. Blah blah blah,Your blabbering makes zero sense. The whole country is ran by corporations 'legally' now you moron, had nothing to do with free speech. This new ruling has to do with Corps having control in the politics, therefore your voice, my voice does not count for shit anymore. Christ, wake up.

  • @wolfarden your voice and single vote never mattered to begin with in the grand scheme of things. but hey, if you want to be delusional and ruler of your little world, go ahead and believe your thoughts and vote ever mattered beyond a local level at best

  • Comment removed

  • @gje313

You didn't even understand that that long post wasn't me "pontificating like you about the government and worldly forces", but an essay by FDR's vice president---did you? And did you understand ANYTHING he said?

Was he "hysterical", too? How about all those"hysterical" editorials in every major newspaper in the country yesterday?

Have you ever heard "the price of freedom is eternal vigilance"? Do you understand what that means?

Do you know that hole in the ground is not your ass?

  • See my letter to President Obama that I faxed to him today.

    See

    Liberal DOTT posterous DOTT com

  • Honestly, politicians and leaders in western history, including our own USA, have always been either influenced by some larger, more powerful group or forces other than the lonely, voting citizen who has a choice most of the time between 2 choices on the ballot.

Roman senators, medieval lords and clergy, US Senators, members of the British Parliament etc, etc, etc have always had other forces guiding them other than the lowly peon citizen

  • Don't argue with the people who support this shit, folks.

Just shoot them when the time comes.

Live free or die, America. The time has finally come. No more talk. Arm yourselves and let's take our country back.

  • @xxashyy He is clear at the begining of the program that GE, the corporation we are on, must be included, or it would be hypocrisy.

  • Olbermann!! What about the Unions huh??? SEIU donated $60 million to Obama's campaign!! The unions control the Democratic Party and the Obama Administration. I didnt here u complaining about that during the 2008 election nor do i here u complaining about it now. The Unions have no restrictions but corporations should? Also, u forget that fact that YOU are employed by a corporation so should your political free speech be limited bc you're apart of a corporation?

  • Great, this was great, it's still the lib version of Fox News making the divisions even deeper but still great..

  • And this is news? Its been this way for 40 years

  • @xxashyy

    think beyond politics for once

  • Corporate fascist America brought to you by Republican appointed conservative activist judges. Any fool could have seen this coming and fools supported it. Say goodbye to representational Government.

  • Too bad Keith & Rachael both keep blowing their moral high ground by constantly and continuously promoting their 'gay marriage' & pro-abortion Tree of Death agenda. Their promotion of abominations unfortunately, immediately dilutes any truths they might speak, and any positive impact which they may have had in their golden cup of truths is immediately poisoned by their propagandizing of abomination. (5:27)

  • LMAO!

  • How is he a hypocrite? because he hates the fact that people like you can be bought and sold so easily? Olberman SPEAKS HIS MIND, USING LOGIC, FACTS, REASON, and CONCISE POINTS. Corporations don't pay him off so he'll spout THEIR ideals, otherwise he probably wouldn't be complaining about CORPORATIONS, would he? I know you're probably used to Beck, Hannity, and O'Reily who change there opinions whenever instructed to by their corporate overlords, but don't group Olberman with those Fox-Whores
