@judomaster222 heavy storm got banned :P I probably kept it in longer than i should have after it got banned but tbh there's just not enough destruction left in the format and too many floaters that people will be more than happy to destroy. Scraps are slowing falling out of competitive play just because everything they can destroy is a fucking floater, and we can't get advantage. That and trishula outright poops on us.

If I might ass my thought I would think that running ancient fairy dragon would be obvious. This is because of the absolutely horrible mathchup with both dragunitys and gks. since dragunitys like d prison and span stardust and gks have the almighty necrovalley
@Halo3CoDMW2 It's situational as hell. In a deck that doesn't swarm much like Scraps, you need that Normal Summon / Set. And Using it on a Scrap Searcher isn't very wise. There are just better options.
If you're playing Pure Scraps or Mill Scraps (Don't remember about that one) it's a good card, but otherwise not needed.
Despite playing the game since it pretty much came out, I never really understood what exactly makes something 'miss the timing.' Only way I know how to do it is to Substitoad a Dupe Frog or something.
Anyway, how does/can Granel miss Timing? Like with the effect of Scrap Storm?
i'll give you an example; i play my brionac with priority, discard a card to send something back. you chain torrential tribute. TT resolves, destroying every monster on board. at this point the trigger to activate granel has been met, however brionac's effect is still in the chain. you can't interrupt the chain in the middle of its resolution to activate something, so, you unfortunately "missed the timing" to activate granel's optional effect.
I've been playing scraps a while, and have been wondering about your thoughts on using dark coffin with decrees? I mean, because dark coffin activates in the grave, so its barely ever a dead card, unless you have no way to destroy it?
@TheMilesKid Hey Ryan very good deck, your super pro at scraps and your advice and views on how to run the deck are very helpful. There is one tech card that wasn't the greatest before but now with running reborn tengu it is less of a dead draw and pretty much a free monster reborn for scrap dragon and that is stardust shimmer. I was just wondering if you have tested this yet and what you think about it, thanks and keep up the good work!
@Jwess764 i suppose if he is using it as beat stick only however you can afford to loose 2k and still have a 3k beater. also i thought the main reason for granel is to steal synchros . in fact even if he loosed 4k it still has 2k and with book and econ can practically run over anything . i was thinking maybe there was different reason. if anyone can knows let me know.
Hey Ryan, I'm pretty new to youtube, but have been playing scraps since before August (as proxies). Now, when I saw your video, it looked really similar to mine. REALLY similar. One question I have, is why no seven tools or bribes?
@xMachinax805 um, you can bring em out really easily, especially in the beginning of the game when you still have 8000 life points. who wouldn't want to attack with a 4000 beater on yur 1st or 2nd turn? but I only run 1 cuz it takes a lot of space.
@xMachinax805 Why wouldn't you is the better question, hes incredibly easy to get out in a Scrap deck and amazingly versatile (even in late game) He also provides easier access to the Naturia synchros if his attack falls to low to suit your needs and can't equip him with any opposing synchro monsters. And the previous stated effect opens up a whole new realm on why hes an amazing card to play.
I'm running a similar deck as you do (just found out about your videos today) only thing different is that I'm running 2 decrees and since Garnell aint legal in europe yet I'm running a Meklord emperor Skiel.

I liked what you had to say about it, but does it ever screw you over by giving you opponent back a card?
im pretty sure this scenario works but i thought i would ask you. if you scrap storm or use scrap dragon on a scrap tuner you can activate granel and then get a scrap back from your grave? or does it miss its timing because im pretty sure they are both optional effects and you can choose to put granel on chain link one and the tuner on chain link to since scraps dont miss timing right?
Is granel playable or not because at locals someone said I could but another person said I couldn't until July 5 so I just want to know when I can play it
I kno that most decks only need one, i just like to get to it quicker and not have to waste a scrapstorm on it to send it to the grave when i dont have a Chimera that DO need to send to the grave.
Also, it really sux when ur scrap dragon dies and u cant bring out a Golem to make another S.Dragon(hence the scrap dragon loop)
its not as inconsistent as ppl think, it actually runs more consistent since u can get the "loop" off faster
@MegaSheepboy I tried it a long time ago and yeah, it's pretty dead in the hand. I have been thinking about side decking it though, but a lot of OTKs now include Trishula so it's kinda pointless. Effect Veiler is better at stopping OTKs than Battle Fader
OT: Love the new deck. I've been trying to make scraps for a while now, and I really look up to you and think you're the best scrap duelist I've seen, and I've seen a lot.
Also, if you Compulsory a Shi En when it gets synchros, does it get negated or can Shi En not chain it as soon as its summoned? I'm going to a local on Saturday and a lot of the people there play Sams, so I just want a heads up.
May i ask why did you take out the forbidden lances? i found out that they do save my ass more instead of them trying to bottomless my stuff or instead of instead of chaining scrap storm to chimera

This is prob my favorite deck build so far, the best part was prob the fact that u put foolish back in because even before extreme victory I think that card sped up the deck
@poop210 it depends who goes first when fabled go first the usually dont do that big of a move but if they go second theyll double trishula u and remove everything u sent to the removed from play so going second is preferable and i won

@SenorSupremo If you have 2 scrap orthros you'll just be seeing it too often. I dont like have orthros in my hand all the time, only wen i need it and because it can only be special summoned if u have a scrap on the field alrdy, which is partly why he added the 3rd scrapyard. This way we can pull it out of our deck wenever its needed. And after using its effect, if its needed again, just bring it back to ur hand with another scrap monster's effect.

@UTexas03 They changed that, actually. Finally Konami got their heads out of their asses and figured out what's really going on. Granel is legal now, Librarian and whatever other promo comes with him will not be legal until july, unless you live outside of the US. If you do, take out the Granels for Spies (Yes, Spies AND Tengus), and try to find room for some warnings.

wow...this deck seeems sooo weird... but it all makes sense. Im probably going to try out the decrees, it just sounds like it works. I use to run 2 Trap stun and the Decrees are so much better, no neg 1 :)
Does decree at times end up becoming a dead draw? I main two lances just in case I ram into a d-prison but I side two decrees just in case. So since orthos ain't legal till tuesday.. I'm using scrap breaker as my blow up card so I can get meklord out quicker, in your opinion do you think that's good for now until Tuesday? Cause I been running the deck like that this week and it's working amazing well.
Considering running 2 Scrap Orthros? I think you might use it then get raped by Dark Hole or something and then you already wasted Chimera's and Orthros. Try 2? But that's just my thoughts on it but yeah, anyways solid deck you're like the best Scrap player out there.

@trynet123 Still testing it. Monk hasn't been a problem, but seeing my tuners has. The worst games I've had has just been not seeing any tuners, or not seeing any non-tuners, and then all monster hands. with the addition of 2 granel and and orthros, both being nomi or semi-nomi, i think i want to up the monster count a bit, and I think I'm gonna go back to 3 beast for that reason. I did think about the Horn of the Phantom now that we have Tengu, and I see where king tiger would work with that.

@SenorSupremo If you have 2 scrap orthros you'll just be seeing it too often. I dont like have orthros in my hand all the time, only wen i need it and because it can only be special summoned if u have a scrap on the field alrdy, which is partly why he added the 3rd scrapyard. This way we can pull it out of our deck wenever its needed. And after using its effect, if its needed again, just bring it back to ur hand with another scrap monster's effect.
That's my opinion on the card.

@UTexas03 They changed that, actually. Finally Konami got their heads out of their asses and figured out what's really going on. Granel is legal now, Librarian and whatever other promo comes with him will not be legal until july, unless you live outside of the US. If you do, take out the Granels for Spies (Yes, Spies AND Tengus), and try to find room for some warnings.

have you ever tested a spell striker? - i know it's kinda weird to have pop up a waste a spell that you could have removed for the naturia synchros but it's a nice level 3 other than the scapegoat tokens / monsters you can mind control so you can go into your naturias / black rose faster

Does decree at times end up becoming a dead draw? I main two lances just in case I ram into a d-prison but I side two decrees just in case. So since orthos ain't legal till tuesday.. I'm using scrap breaker as my blow up card so I can get meklord out quicker, in your opinion do you think that's good for now until Tuesday? Cause I been running the deck like that this week and it's working amazing well.

Considering running 2 Scrap Orthros? I think you might use it then get raped by Dark Hole or something and then you already wasted Chimera's and Orthros. Try 2? But that's just my thoughts on it but yeah, anyways solid deck you're like the best Scrap player out there.

How's 2 beast been working with monk? When I tried to cut to 2 beast it ran awful.

@trynet123 Still testing it. Monk hasn't been a problem, but seeing my tuners has. The worst games I've had has just been not seeing any tuners, or not seeing any non-tuners, and then all monster hands. with the addition of 2 granel and and orthros, both being nomi or semi-nomi, i think i want to up the monster count a bit, and I think I'm gonna go back to 3 beast for that reason. I did think about the Horn of the Phantom now that we have Tengu, and I see where king tiger would work with that.
