you can fix the clicking problem by putting a couple pieces of paper behind the battery over the Esn number. I just did it and it works fantastic now!

I got my storm last nov 2008. hated the bundled software and it was the worst phone - laggy, buggy and it didnt do what it was suppose to.... With the latest 148 update it's running brilliantly and i can honestly report that my screen is still scratch proof!

there is no film screen protecting the screen. the one on mine had words on it so you had to peal it off, and i highly doubt that they would put two protective covers on the screen. So i bought a $8 piece of clear hard plastic to cover the screen because finger prints are some nasty shit on a bb, and i keep it in 2 cases, the leather and the gummie, the phone is sick and its not getting scratched. the chrome and the black plastic scratch the easyest. a case is a must have if u own a storm....

There IS another film over the screen. There's one that has words on it and another under that that actually takes up the whole screen. I've had my Storm since it's release day and still have that same film on. I know there's a film because I have a bubble in it on the corner of my screen.

first of all i am an iphone user, but my cousin had gotten the storm and i got to use it for the first time. i must say, it is a very cool feel with the button, much-like the touchpad on the new macbooks. But tell me if this is common, for some reason his screen on his Storm tends to "move around" in its socket. Like it jiggles if you move the screen with your thumb. is this common?

tbh i dropped my storm in the road on a snowy day and a car drove over it. it left some water under the screen but in about an hour it had dried up. Apart from that there was nothing wrong with the screen. I have many scratches on the black and silver casing but none on the screen.

i think maybe it's ceramic glass? I've had mine about 3 weeks now and my baby still looks brand new not a single scratch - ok so i try not to stuff it in my pocket together with my keys or my hunting knife, not even my receipt spike lol i think that's pretty good going. Great video, it helped me make the buying decision and I'm not sorry i did. It does however get smudgy and mucky from my fingers which is a bit annoying...whoever invents a "no-muck" screen will make a LOT of money!

the screen on that is plastic it WILL scratch the iphone screen is glass, the storm screen will have a greater chance of getting scratched than the iphone.. seriously.. get a key or keys and put it in a ziplock back or something like that, and do the same test some people done with the iphone, and it will come out scratched, or give it a few weeks or playing with it. of it going in and out of your pocket.. you will see scratched come out

It's not terrible. There's just a learning curve. If you use the portrait keyboard, you can type faster than with the landscape one, or at least that's my opinion. I can type just fine on both however. Although I'm pretty sure that any text crazy person can type a bit faster on an actually keyboard than a virtual one.

I keep my storm in the front pocket of my backpack along with my car keys and it doesn't have a single scratch on the screen. Been doing this for over a month now. Dropped it into a cup of coffee, used a blow dryer on it and it came right back on after about five minutes of drying it out. Used it as a door stop to get back into a bar that was about to close. Bartender kicked it across the sidewalk and it still works without scratches, which is more than I can say for the Bartender.
