  • Why spending a lot of money for a huge kboard ? the skill of a good organist is to play the bass like a real bassman, playing the left hand with creativity and playing a full right hand full of chords and the melody. Where is the pleasure with a keyboard which is doing everything for you ? I've got a Hammond H100, with a Leslie 720 and a Autovari64 as a drum and I enjoy every moment a play...!!!

  • i play hammond concorde ..with leslie 3300 on it ...florida u.s.a.

  • A great Earl Grant song

  • @KennyKatt1962 YOU LIKE EARL GRANT ..I HAVE ALL OF HIS MUSIC.HE IS THE BEST.

  • An excellent player like you should getting a WERSI SCALA.

    Thanks

    Jim

  • @boimanhoso what do you think of the Hammond Elegante Organ.

  • I will take the new Korg KRONOS over that anytime for a fraction of the cost.

  • @alphasxsignal why not take both of them, that way you can have a true organ sound.

  • I will take the new Korg KRONOS over that anytime.

  • @alphasxsignal why

  • @Royalorgans Or the Kurzweil for organs or better yet the Norg Stage 2 for

    piano and organ.

  • The problem with the new Hammond B-3 and tone wheel clones, that they do not have any fun features like this home organ models or like the Lowrey and Wersi. I would buy his home organ, before I would even consider just a plane jane Hammond B-3, I want fun featires, and digital drums with the Auto Band.

  • halaloua

  • I just bought a 1981 Hammond Elegante for $150! It's been my lucky month- a Gulbransen Rialto II for free and 3 weeks later an Elegante. Now maybe it's luck, but I have spent many hours looking for the best organs. I absolutely love Wurlitzer's taste in design and nothing gets that Wurlitzer tone like a Wurlitzer. My 625t has the Wurli sound too, but it wasn't until I got my 4500 that it really came through. There are 2-12's,2-6x9's,a horn, and the awesome Spectratone in 4500/4502-identical.

  • Fantastic! Especially the middle part: Just a closer with thee. Thanks a lot for sharing.

  • all I can saw is WOW !! what a sound and what a player

  • Brent Mydland does not approve.

  • Isnt this organ a little old late 90s The New B3 eats it for breakfast.

  • @Denvermorgan2000 Yes, it's old. Late 90's.

And yes, the new B3 is "better" if you are looking for a B3, but the XH-series are (were) home organs, providing instruments, drums, and automatics in addition to the drawbars. And yes, you can connect a Leslie to the XH-200. While destinguishable from the New B3, it sounds very much like a Hammond.

  • Thank you thats very informative. Can you buy any Hammond to make it sound like a B3?

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing Just about any Hammond. But it depends on the technology of the Hammond organ.

  • Great playing can this sound like a Hammond B3?

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing Yeah, It can sound like a B-3. The organ allows one to internally go in the organ and adjust the tone settings so that you can get the desire effect that you want. If one hooks the organ to a 971 leslie speaker. The organist has more opportunity to adjust the organ to his or her desired color and tone for the B-3 organ sound.

  • where can these vids be viewed in better quality???

    excellent sound -great looking model

please send them to the u.k. -

  • @keynoteorgans Do you have a email address. I can work on trying to get you a better quality audio recording. If you would like. You can still purchase this organ.

  • @keynoteorgans I don't know why this guy keeps posting video's about the "New Hammond XH-272 Elegante organ". The XH/XT line was introduced in 1997. These organs are not made anymore since 2005.

@ RoyalOrgans: It's been said to you many times that this organ is an old model. Venerable, capable, but old. Man... can't you get it through your head? It's not new, and I -know-, because I've owned the European version (XH-200) for over 10 years already.

    Sigh.

  • @SilverHammond Do you still have the Elegante XH-272 organ. If so could you hook it up to a 971 leslie speaker and upload a video of it. I would love to hear it played through a 300 watt leslie.

  • @Royalorgans Dude.... I don't have a Leslie 971 lying around here. You make it sound as if I can just pull one out from a drawer. Because of lack of space I do not have a Leslie, but I will hook one up as soon as I get the room to do so.

So, I still have organ. It's the XH-200/SP Century Edition: Exactly the same as the XH-200 (XH-272 with different cabinet), but with 13 pedals instead of 25. The US counterpart is called XT-272 Aurora Grande.

  • @SilverHammond ALL HAMMONDS IN THE 70'S ARE OLD NOT MADE ANY MORE.JUST THE NEW HAMMONDS B-3 WITCH IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE OLD ONES.FROM FLORIDA USA

  • This organ is capable of sounding like a Hammond B-3, Theater organ and classical organ. You can modify the sound and tone so that you can get the sound you so desire.
