pulling over was the worst thing to do. if somebody comes up behine you at 55mph. and dont see you till the last second. everybody in michigan knows how to reach out the window and snap the wipers.
You are kidding right? Extreme white out conditions.... I think not..... then you haven't driven in Montana during white out conditions have you? Where you can't see your hand in front of your face just about. Much less see those cars coming in the opposite lane.
@DerynRavenous Oh I don't doubt that there are, when I was a kid we lived in Pontiac Michigan and I remember going to bed at night with blizzards and you couldn't even see the street light outside the window. I used to lay there watching the blizzards. LOL. I didn't mean they didn't have extreme white out conditions, I just meant I have seen them worse than what was in this video in Michigan. Also Montana. I did not mean to offend anyone. I am sorry.
Lol I miss Michigan... I had to move to TN with my parents and sis for better jobs, and I rarely see snow here... D: Lol its funny how a foot (Maybe less, I moved when I was 9, and I was short then XD) of snow in Michigan is normal, but if you get a foot of now in TN, people will be like "OMFG"... The kids'll love it, but seriousely... O.o Then again, ppl dnt have snow tires down here...
@nikko97144 This is pretty average in Michigan as well.. at least where I live in Michigan. This was shot in December, our bad winter days happen in February.
@joeldude76 , I think i can beat ya. I'm from around Cadillac, MI (roughly the same area as the vid) I've had to drive 20 mile to school in this shit in a chevy lumina, half the time goin "hmm, I wonder where I'm at"
nvm its not that bad lol because its in town and its plowed but still lol with a 2wd truck its very tedious lol but im gonna get a 4x4 in a year or so
i would have liked to see this vid without the driver taking...i cant even stand to watch storm chasers on the weather channel because of him....he is sooo annoying! just shut the fuck up dude
Heck I live on the east side of the state, try driving with cornfields on both sides of the road. At least you have trees letting you know where the road is.
Yes this is global warming! I am glad somebody understand water displacement from the polar caps. Unlike Sean Hannity who has no knowledge of physic or chemistry. And can't grasp how global warming could effect stronger weather pattern.
yeah, well done on your theory that below 5 degrees it's "too cold" to snow! of course it is, that would explain why both the antarctic and arctic are covered in snow wouldn't it?!!
NEVER stop on the road in a snow storm! If you have to stop then drive into the ditch. But never stop on the road... if you can't see, remember the drivers coming up on you can't see either and they will drive into you and all can suffer injuries. If the winter weather scares you... stay home or at work.
Is it true that it gets like -30 degrees over there sometimes because I live in NJ and allwe get here is probably like a little less than -15 degree weather during the winter!!! I also want to move their once I graduate so???!!! I love the cold weather and 32 days until Christmas!!! Now I have to get a tooth removed tomorrow! Just 1 second of pain or none! Love the snow!
Firstly, -15 degrees would be too cold for anyone and it would be snowing every time it rained, secondly -30 degrees would be insane, you'd have to have your heating on turned up to 30 degrees for it to be 0 degrees, so no, -30 degrees is insane. You'd be living in the antarctic.
We get this every year. Reed comes here once and everybody comments. Those of us from the upper penninsula know that 3-5 feet in 36hrs is a storm, not 12". Michigan rocks for winter.
lol the novilty wears off its awesome for a week snow boarding, sleds, ice skating forts than you relize that all the exsess clothing sucks you have days wear it snows so hard you have to call in and be like ya i cant see well ill be late i have to drive slow or my fave my fucking car wont start i cant come in to day i refuse to walk in this the only good thing is cristmas lights when theirs snow on the groung its beautiful
I remember waking at like 3 in the mourning to see if it was snowing or not (since it was predicted) so that i would know that i would have a snow day or not. It was snowing like a little, so i went back to sleep, then like at 6 I woke up again and it was a HUGE blizzard outside..and i had a snow day on what was supposed to be my last day of school before break :D
When I came home from Iraq I took leave to visit back home...Insane going from Iraq, to Georgia, back to Michigan....Can't wait to move back home though

LOL. I'm from Grand Rapids, but living in SC at the moment...it was nice of you guys to post some snow for me! I will say that I never expected snow storms to be documented by tornado chasers.
good ol' wisconsin has had its moments... i believe we just broke a record for the most snowfall ever in the month of december... sucks.. at least every 3 days we have a snowstorm of somesort...
wow evrywhere is getting snow i live on long island and we got only 2 inches of snow but yet las vegas, northern georgia, and seattle has gotten more then us! thats not rite!

We just get a helleva lot of rain here in Hawaii. Last year we got 17 inches in 8 hours!! That brought the river next to our land up 4 ft.and it is most of the year a dry bed. It washed away everything that wasnt anchored down except those that were just to heavy. Rain comes in buckets! Not to dangerous but dont be on the roads! Is snow quiet when it comes down in large amounts? We cant hear each other talk in the same room when its pouring hard!
I live in Hawaii and DAMN that looks cold!!!! Mauna Kea gets snow. but I just look at it while I swim in the ocean! Thanks for the reminder of why I dont want to come back to the mainland to live!!Building a snow cave and strippin down to keep warm......I can think of more fun ways to spend my time! Thanks for the great vids and keep warm you guys!
Believe me, it is cold! However, we don't usually get this much snow in one month (at least the Lower Peninsula of MI doesn't). Our average snowfall for Dec. is 18 in. We've had over 4 ft. of snow fall where I live (not all at once, but close).
In the snow rainx dose not work that good. Anyways I was out down south of TVN in Allegan county filming the same days as you guys but as you said at the end of the video the camera dose not do it justice on the 21st turned out to be blizzard conditions for a while but good job on getting up here guys glad to see you made it.
Yeah, guys, it CAN get worse...try 4 FEET in 6 hours! It did that here in Anchorage in 2002 at the airport...I'd make a swipe with the plow and come back, and it looked like I had'nt done jack.
pulling over was the worst thing to do. if somebody comes up behine you at 55mph. and dont see you till the last second. everybody in michigan knows how to reach out the window and snap the wipers.

There's a few small mountains (if you want to call them that) in the U.P. (Upper Peninsula). The L.P. (Lower Peninsula) has many big hills though. I know of a couple ski resorts. Pando is in Rockford, MI & you can go tubing, skiing, etc. Cannonsburg Ski Resort is in Ada Township, near Grand Rapids, & that is one of the bigger ski resort places in the L.P.

Believe me, it is cold! However, we don't usually get this much snow in one month (at least the Lower Peninsula of MI doesn't). Our average snowfall for Dec. is 18 in. We've had over 4 ft. of snow fall where I live (not all at once, but close).

Why don't guys use rain X you would not even have to use you wipers ?????

Yeah, guys, it CAN get worse...try 4 FEET in 6 hours! It did that here in Anchorage in 2002 at the airport...I'd make a swipe with the plow and come back, and it looked like I had'nt done jack.
