Johnny Hiland comes to mind as one who is better and he's legally blind! Jack Pearson plays with much more soul and is much smoother too. Not to mention Derek Trucks is better in every area of guitar playing.

Both amps are Dereks. Joe and Derek are two completely different styles and both are at the top of the game, they are the future of Blues Rock. Trust me if you see Dereks show you will be happy you bought the ticket. Derek is playing the Fenders with the DTB .

He uses both amps with both bands, but he's stated in several interviews that he's using the Super Reverb as a backup more and more - probably as a requirement for his deal with PRS.

thanks for the conformation on the Les Paul. Derek gave props to Les Paul that night (day after his death) it was awe inspiring to see those two. I have more vid's of that night on my page.
