The singers can both sing the same type of notes but in their own style. Christina is the type of singer that can hit a note flawlessly but she likes to climb to her notes and once she is there she doesn't hold it long without doing runs. Fergie Hits the notes and holds them. Fergie does some runs but not too many. I would never compare because their voices are so different and I would rather singers sound different than the same.

Somehow these battles are pointless, a vocal range is a gift of God/Nature and not the artists achievement through hard work, maybe work refines it a little, but that's all. I strongly dislike Christina's overexaggerated "sexuality" and her singing style, she always sounds like she wanted to chop off someones head, even when she tries to sound vulnerable... Thus, Fergie wins! Because, she can get so many emotions across. (And that's actually the point in singing!!!)
