Thats where you would find the IPSW file. My problem is that any file in there QuickPwn says is not the original file or wont recognize it. Where do I go from there?

Hey when i upload the firmware into quickpwn..it gives me an error called "Firmwar error String"...am i doing something wrong...i have 1st gen. itouch and with 2.2.1 firmware and that is what i was using with quickpwn and it just gave me this error ..HELP..

when i click "browse" it shows a blank window that wont load, and stops responding if i click anywhere... i have vista... i've tried running as admin... and this has happened with 1 other thing on my computer... PLEASE HELP

If you have the Second Gen of iTouch, it doesn't work. Second Gen has the internal speaker, incase you don't know which generation you have.

ummm i've tried this like 10 times and i'm always getting stuck on the wait for your ipod to connect in recovery mode. it went to the press home for 5 secs exc. but i forgot to press it and now i'm trying again and again to do it but it's not loading to the next step. is quickpwn the only way to unlock the itouch 2.2?

pls help the jailbreaking worked beautifully with absolutely no flaws. Idk if im having a problem or i dont know how to use it, but whenever i try to install a theme from cydia, it doesnt show up in winterboard, so i dont know how to enable the theme.

Hey um..well I should probably be asking this in the forums but when you jailbreak, does all your music and photos get erased? I have A LOT of songs and personally I would rather not have to re-sync them all.

dont use intaller, use cydia.

Install winterboard and then look under themes and you will see them all there

After I exract the files, all it says when I try to run the file is the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) Click OK to terminate the application. This is for Windows XP service Pack 3.

umm...you know when quickpwn is serching for your ipod...yah mine cloed itunes and went to thing browse thing...and its says "the correct ISPW should begin with 2.2...what do i do now?

you need to download and update to the latest firmware, it will then automatically detect it. Makde sure you put it in the correct folder for it pick up faster

I have windows vista...how do I search for the firmware on vista? I looked everywhere and can't find it. I even downloaded the firmware from Itunes (but where did the download go to?). I also tried downloading the firmware from your website but the download did not work. Please help if u can.

I dont really know vista that well, but on XP here is where it is located

after i go to quickpwn and click the first arrow it brings me to the right page but it dosent have anything in the Browse Bar.

you need to make sure that you have updated to the latest firmware before going ahead. It detects what firmware you have on your ipod and then makes sure that you have in the ipod software folder.

i already have 2.2 but i did that thing so you can get 2.0 for free a while ago and just updated it from itunes so idk if thats why it wont work

nope - just the latest one! It will do 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 (1st generation iPod)
