  • coulda done without the horrible music. did i say it was horrible? because it makes me want to defecate my intestines out. way to make a song out of such a cliche statement.

  • Law does not = Morals. Think back to a time not too long ago and the law said that it was OK to kill a slave that got out of hand... The law supports tobacco companies while arresting old ladies for having a little bag of weed.... In many cases the law and immorality go hand in hand.

  • What a heartwarming video! How do you get a pet raven?

  • it found us, or vice versa, thx.

  • So special and so sad.

  • bad song cool Raven

  • I'm so sorry about your raven. But at least it lived a happy life right.

  • yes he did, thanks for the comment!

  • ...i got to thank you !!!

  • so sorry what happent ,its not ya fought-i feel with ya cause ya miss him so much-i know you loved him!

  • poor raven T_T

  • poor kaka

  • thx all! Crows are smart and amazing creatures!

  • I hate how they're illegal D:<

  • i found one today! im trying to nurse it back to life!

  • narc

  • batch

  • shame on u!didnt u read? the poor birdy died!

  • Illegal maybe, but not immoral. The law itself is immoral, because it prohibits people from doing their God-given duty to care for the creatures around them. Considering how some wildlife centers treat animals brought to them, I'd be more discriminate about where I'd take a wounded animal.

  • WELL SAID!! Do what you know is RIGHT and hope that one day stupid laws will change.

  • @ccoraxfan yes it does prohibit ppl from caring for the corvidae (ravens) but it wasnt mainly for that, the law is to prohibit capturing killing, and selling of these intelligent birds, as in many movies, humans are a YOUNG species much to learn selling these birds justs proves that the people selling them dont see them as living beings

  • @Gin81593

The US law does not prohibit killing the corvids. You can still hunt crows, and kill as many as you wish with no limit. You just can't take one home alive. Other corvids that don't have hunting seasons on them can still be hunted if you get a "depredation permit", meaning you only have to have a good-sounding excuse.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying and selling live animals. Throughout history people have done this. It's only wrong to harm, mistreat or neglect them.

  • @ccoraxfan sound like a change of hear there o.0 if you wanna be technical about it then yes you can say what you said, im talking about inside the hearts and incompetant minds of a human terran, terrans are just too technical then untechnical depending on the situation in order to suite their quota im basicaly saying

    1. ya theres nothing wrong with selling animals it dont harm them or us or anything else BUT im saying are animals to be treated so low as to be sold

  • @ccoraxfan there is something wrong if they have been taken from their wild natural habitat, there is a difference between that and breeding in captivity. To take something away from the only world it knows is cruel.

  • @beastinblack

If an animal is injured and unable to live in its natural environment, it can be more cruel to leave it to die. On the other hand, if you rescue it, you may give it at least a halfway decent life rather than a tortured and slow death. Also, young animals don't yet know their world, and can live with humans as easily as with their own kind.

  • That law was made so retards couldn't hurt the animal. Now there are people who actually research how to care for such an animal and actually care for it -better- than an animal shelter because of the one-on-one care with the animal.

Other than that, I think more species need to feel more comfortable around humans.

  • aww R.I.P Kaka. I love how you released it back into the wild. Thats the hardest and most affectionate gesture you can give to an orphaned animal. (it has beautiful wings) :D

  • You are cute and your crow is awesome ;)

  • it was a great bird, and it ate many things that people do. thx for the comments!

  • has it ever ran away

  • what do u feed him?

  • crows also can reason and use tools, such as sticks to help them get food. also they are the best parents, aunts, uncles etc. of all birds... how cool is that!

  • some american indians believe the crow carries your soul to heaven when you die. when my mom died there was a crow with white on its wings there as we burried her. I had never seen a white winged crow. i think there are a pied crow from africa but not maine!

  • Whoa!! That's freaking awesome! I think that's awesome and that your mom's soul totally made it up to heaven. Yeah birds are a lot smarter than we give them credit for.

  • it restored my faith in believing there is something after death. thank you for your kind words :) fly fly and be free!!!!

  • White wing feathers are usually found in young crows and are a sign of poor nutrition.

  • That's cool. Bout the crow I mean. I bet ur mom was a very special lady. Aren't all mom's :D.

  • Aw-w..Sorry for your loss. It's always hard when a pet is lost;especially so soon.

  • I feed a family of 3 occasionally . .they like Italian and Mexican food best, but detest brocoli!

  • The raven is larger my friend, very much larger.

  • Raven and Crow arent same thins. Crows are bigger, smarter and live in couple, with another Crow. Ravens are live in flock.

BTW, crows and ravens, hate ich other and kills ich other.

    Sorry for bad english.

  • yup, the raven is much larger. watch him scare away a whole flock of crows at the end of my video

  • Yes,yes, i make a mistake, because of my bad knowledges in english,i'm sorry.

  • Mihamud, Obviously you understand the difference between the birds, you just got the names mixed up. Good points though!

  • is that crow friendly with other people?

  • it was.

  • From the Latin "Corvus", the crow. Ravens are magnificent birds, and very intelligent.

You did the right think in trying to save him, and it is a cold thing to do to walk on and leave him to die.

They do need defending against danger though. Look at the book "Two Ravens Came Tapping".

  • But the crows are smarter )

  • I've been feeding a family of three crows -they are low-flying and zooming closer and closer to me!

  • I saw a young crow floating in a stream when I was going to work one morning, not so long ago. I ran to get like a broom or something to get him out the water, but when I returned and pulled him out he was already dead. He was still moving lightly when I saw him and I felt really bad he died. I love crows. They remind me of dinosaurs.

  • this particular crow was found in the San Francisco Financial District: taxis, concrete, zoom, zoom. We knew Ka Ka was d0o0omed in that land of concrete and smog, dooomed, dd0o0omed! We brought him to the country, cleaned him up, and then . . . Ka Ka was killed trying to greet a car on a lonely, but tree covered road. Bye, Ka Ka!! We'll miss you!

  • if it's injured or young and flightless it doesn't have much of a chance either . . . but, I think we know what you're saying.

  • Some might think it's "cool" to have a pet Crow or Raven, but most don't know how to rescue them properly. It can never live a natural life if it's not habilitated into a flock of its kind being prepared for release. It will not know how to survive and will be killed shortly by dangers it has not learned to avoid, like some of these posters report. Please do not keep wild birds or other animals to be cool, do the right thing for the poor creature so it might have a chance for a better life.

  • Umm, crows and ravens are very smart, and they know how to survive and what to do, even when the lived 3 or 5 years in captivity and that is the fact.

My pet crow is living on rooftop of my house and come back to my room when he want it.

    sry for bad english.

  • Ravens don't live in flocks

  • thats sad

our first crow couldnt fly and was snatched by a hawk in our yard :(

  • you are correct! But, Raven sounds better!

  • It's a crow, not a raven!

  • It's a black Raven o_O Crows are bigger in size.

  • also ravens and crows beaks are different

  • fuk I want a raven =(

  • thx! looked up corvids . .

Corvidae is a family of oscine passerine birds that contains the crows, ravens, rooks, jackdaws, jays, magpies, treepies and nutcrackers. Collectively its members are called corvids and there are over 120 species.

  • How sad! But how lucky you got to experience even a short time with this bird. I love all birds, but especially the corvids! And I know what it's like, I rescued- and lost- a young raven several years ago.

    Thank you for sharing!

  • Sorry, the MUSIC IS LOUD! ;)-mad
