Mr. Kuzee...hiowdy!!! The Surf Raiders inspired me so much that I started the Surfdusters...and we ended up on the Rhino CD box set with our song "Save the Waves"! I can never thank you enough for how you inspired me as a guitarist...
In 1983, in Rome Italy, I found a vinyl copy of "Raiders of the Lost Surf" on light blue vinyl. I was surprised to find a new surf album for I had been three years in Europe (Air Force) and did not know a surf revival was going on. I was blown away when I played it (and still enjoy it today though I have digitized the vinyl). I wrote Bob Dailey a letter about my finding the album. He wrote me back and I still have the letter today.
I have a copy of the Rhino Record version of The Blazers playn Bangalore. It's nowhere on the internet. The Blazers is in 1963, that means that video is 1963
Phil Dirt would play this song just about every week on his KFJC Surfs Up radio show in the late 80s/early 90s and there's nothing like hearing it on a warm summer's night at sunset cruising up the 280 en route to San Francisco for a night on the town ;-) Oh yeah, here's to Bob Dalley and all he's done for Surf revivalism.
Neil Kuzee, where are you dude? Amazing piece of work, and the entire band has left a legacy here in the San Gabriel Valley never to be forgotten. Bob, Linda, Loyd, Dave I miss those parties you would play at.
Miss you guys!
Your greatest fans are still waiting for a reunion!

Hey Fans! I'm up here in Lompoc! I retired in '04, and play golf and grow vegetables. I still dabble in music. Thanks to all our Surf Raider fans, and I am DEEPLY HONORED that you still enjoy my best song, Point Conception '63. God bless! Neal Kuzee, Lompoc, CA Aug. 08
Hey, I maybe prejudice, but this is a great video and the music really knocks me out! I know I have heard this music before, oh that's right, I was in the band! Way to go supertonesurf
