Some people do believe Mac is better than PC that is not true since today apple rides at intel base processors so the two computers are now at the same level of performance nothing to be compares I have both of that G4 powerbook and sony vaio computers and now my new PC Core 2 Duo specs does not matter for me these are only a tools. :)

I have a 500Mhz iBook G3 and its EIGHT YEARS old and runs just fine! Sure, it can't game, or play HD video, or anything extreme like that, but it works just fine for browsing websites, typing a letter, etc. I also use it at partys as a juke box with all my music in iTunes. I can then wireless control it with my iPod touch. For an eight (almost nine ) year old machine, it still runs well.

NO, they have been updated. They look the same, but are slighty thinner, offer faster processor speeds, faster and more capacity ram, and also have one extra USB port.

And yes they are more expensive then comparable PC's but they are well worth it for the design and simplify.

Also, you may want to hold off as there is a rumor that new ones are coming out at the end of the month! It could also be the time where they sell off the old ones cheap!

good question. - its because I got the "refurbished" model, and they come in plain boxes to save money. but as I stated before, there is no way you that you could tell that it is refurbished - its looks brand new! So basically, I saved $350 by choosing a brown box vs a fancy one thats colored.

Correct! If you saw my unit in person and I didn't tell you it was a referb - you would have swore it was brand new. There was absloutly NO scratches, dents, etc. Also the keyboard, mouse, etc was all brand new! I was really impressed! The only difference is the box. I can't garentee yours will be the same, but from what I heard from others, all the units go though Apples strict testing, etc so you shouldn't be worried. If you get it, reply back and let us all know how you did!

No, they don't tell you what is wrong with them, as they fix them up anyways so they are brand new again. For example, say someone returned it because the screen was bad or was scratched. Apple will then just replace the whole screen with a brand new one! Trust me, you will get a good one, and if it isn't to your liking, they can send you another one. and yes, sometimes the stock changes. They never "run out" they just update them. For example mine is a 2.4GHz, now the same model is a 2.8Ghz.

True - hardware wise you could build a PC with the same specs cheaper. BUT, will that PC come with a stable OS or would you have to put up with XP or Vista? Does it run iMoive, iDVD, iPhoto and Garageband- No, you would have to go out and BUY software that would do similar tasks that still woun't be as good as if you just bought a Mac with the software already included, preloaded and built in ONE unit. In a way, your right, but when you think about it - it all ends up about the same.

You could have Ubuntu Linux and have the same stuff (and better) for FREE. Its all about taste (how you want to use a system). All platforms are good depending on one's needs. Btw I own the new 24" iMAC and it runs all 3 operating systems for doing different stuff :)

My only complaint is it has ATi instead of nVidia and no multicard reader. A great machine overall for those who want to replace bulky, noisy and dusty tower cases with a sleek looking machine.

lol, it IS big compared to my old 17" CRT - but you get used to it. lol. I definitely like the 1920x1200 resolution - you can get more done with more room for things on the screen. Now I freak out when anyone uses 1024x768.

Yes there is. I don't know which version of Mac OSX you have, but on 10.5, you do this:

1. Finder-->Click on "Go"

2. Paste this:" /System/Library/CoreServices/S­etup Assistant.app/Contents/Resourc­es/TransitionSection.bundle/Co­ntents/Resources/ " and Enter.

3. Play both the "Intro-Sound" and the "Intro Mov" and start them both full screen.

4. Enjoy

(also to note, this is kind of a hack because you getting into the system files, so be carful, and this info didn't come from me!lol, hehe!)
