i have bought a usb speaker to try out this mod... i want to know if there is anyway we can use the amplifier and power it using the laptops usb and connect it. as in just disassemble the whole speaker unit and fit it inside the laptop and power it using the usb. that would be great. cuz this usb powered speakers are loud and punchy. edifier mp230. the speakers look the same like the once in ur video. just have a doubt if it will fit in my vaio

i recently purchased a refurbished h p laptop while i am very happy with the laptop the volume level even when 100% is to low for me would the addition of external speakers or something to amplify the volume workalthough its a h p laptop the sound components are used samsung stuff
haha nice. i did the same thing with my Compaq Presario C300 , originally i was just repairing it because it didnt boot cause of a drive control fail. but since i couldnt locate the chip i removed the old CR2032 CMOS battery and WiFi chip. saudered a Suntone radio speaker and its nice lol
@miseryhaha Because I wanted better sound, when i was on the "run", at school or elsewhere, it would be a lot more trouble to carry a set of speakers around..
Hi, I have a Samsung RF710. The right speaker just stop working. I just got the computer a few weeks ago but apparently I have no waranty. I am from Puerto Rico, so there are no such things as service centers near.
Is it easy to diassemble so I can install a new speaker?
I havent had the RF710 between my fingers, but a couple of other brands, and none of them were difficult to disassemble, I advise you to search for model number / type on google + repair, service manual or open..
in that case you might finde a guide to take it appart..
as to the speaker, you could use any 4 ohm or higher speaker of similar size if it fits inside the labtop..
Yes they did work, unfortunately there were only room enough for one, so there is one new and one old one in there, but it improved the sound quality and range a lot.

Didn't quite get question?
external speakers powered by usb might increase the volume.
speakers powered by other source, ex. 12V would increase the volume.
but it might also increase the volume to replace the speakers with a different kind.
I would recommend to use 4ohm speakers.

I may be missing something, but...why not just use the little plug and play speakers? I mean, without having to take anything apart...
