This bear photo is real, but the description of the bear (world record size)is false. This bear weighed between 1000 and 1200 pounds (still very large). Also the idea that it had eaten humans is fabricated. Always a possibility, but there is no evidence that it had attacked or killed any humans at all.
By the way the info about the size of largest grizzly recorded was factual, only this was not the bear.

And they did not only find out that this isnt the biggest grizzly bear but that he did not kill ANY people. U only have to look at the photos. The Vegetation around these people is clearly not from alaska.

This bear photo is real, but the description of the bear (world record size)is false. This bear weighed between 1000 and 1200 pounds (still very large). Also the idea that it had eaten humans is fabricated. Always a possibility, but there is no evidence that it had attacked or killed any humans at all.
By the way the info about the size of largest grizzly recorded was factual, only this was not the bear.

This bear had become so large that it was difficult for it to catch prey in the forest so instead in turned on a much easier food source. It had killed five people in two months, and killed two hikers within seventy two hours before this man had shot and killed the bear. This bear was 10'6" and 1000-1200lbs - big, but not record book. It was hunted and killed (with a hunting licence) on Oct. 14, 2001 by Ted Winnen on Hinchinbrook Island. It never charged them, and never ate anyone. This story was in the Anchorage Daily News back in 2001.
