I had the same fucking this but it was near my gron alot of pain omg i passed out every time they mess with it untill the last day lol alot of pain meds as well in six days they gave me 198 oxycodones yup
Wow that was a big one,Iv had some cysts that I thought were huge but not on that scale.Do you know what caused it or was it like a cyst and just grew?
I had an abscess on my coccyx. Hurt like hell. So, what I did was bathed in that dettol stuff you get for infections. Went to get out of the bath, and wham! Looked like a blood bath in the bathroom. If anyone here gets an abscess, try to draw it out yourself with a hot bath, or some salt and baking soda. If that doesn't work, get your ass to the doctor!
@AmmanValleyFreakOuts had the same thing 3 times too and 1st time i spent 2 days trying to get it to burst even tried the hot jar trick, but they pack them here to get everything out and to have it heal from the inside, but pain OMG do they hurt until it burst!!!!
Hey everyone. You need to stop all the bad cheeseball jokes. We have heard it all when referring to big cysts or boils.."oh its an eye".."it.must.have its own brain heart.etc"..and the stale "alien" joke..lame people..
No expression of the abscess, no peroxide/saline irrigation, no forceps to break the remaining pockets, seriously poor lancing. Glad you're getting better despite it all!
the procedure of draining it didnt hurt as much as the abcess hurt my knee when it was on it i dont know if these things usually hurt when u touch them but mine hurt like hell whenever i hit my knee with something
why the hell didnt she squeeze that shit out of ur arm man ?!! i would have done it myself i just hate abscesses but i love to remove them myself i had a small one on my knee and i removed it myself that thing was big and it hurt like shit but i felt better immediately just when i opened it and squeezed it out !
I have NEVER seen a doctor SO terrified of getting messed up! She didn't get rid of all of the pus, several nursing students wanted to see what was happening - she knew that, but still covered the ENTIRE procedure - standing BEHIND you! I'm surprised- (she left the capsule in there) I hope it doesn't come back for you! I bet the students felt like us - the freaks addicted to these vids - "well that was a waste of time - why didn't you MOVE?!" It sure looked painful glad you are alright!
What happened that caused the abscess? I can't even watch myself get a shot or stitches let alone watch something like this drain or be packed. That looked mighty uncomfortable prior to getting it taken care of. Kudos for getting proper medical treatment and not lancing it home with a box cutter to put on youtube.
@shadowfennecfox Depends on the size of the cavity that is drained. They just pack it with enough iodine tape to soak up any further infection. Any abscess that is drained can cause sepsis and it's usually a nasty infection that leads to a abscess in the first place. That's why it's a good idea to get it done in a clinic or hospital.
@andymathon she’s minimizing the risk of giving HIM an infection by being slow and methodical and wiping with a fresh piece of gauze and wearing gloves.
She did make a really big slice in your arm, for no real reason. She should have made the slice a whole lot smaller, She really did suck because she kept all the good stuff behind that stupid gauze, we couldn't really see any of the drainage. She didn't even get out half the pus. I believe she is a pus Dr. hehehehe
@Riana718 If it's a smooth, clean incision and you do not pick at the scab as it heals it won't leave a scar. As it heals it might look like it's going to leave a scar because it's still red, but it will fade to pink and keep getting lighter in color until it's blended to your natural skin color.
You know in this video we can't see really well and although it looks deep and nasty, it might have been more superficial than we know. It seemed like there was quite a bit of trying to drain it but more blood than pus was coming out. Who knows? Since it healed completely it must have been treated correctly or it would have come back. Just my opinion for whatever that is worth.
Did this actually heal w/o more draining and multiple antibiotics, perhaps even a hospitalization? Was the woman working on your arm a doctor? That was not done right. Even if you are healed, it would have healed much faster, I'd bet, if she had actually squeezed it and got the infection out. She acted like she was scared that she might actually see some pus! I'm sorry that you got such poor treatment for an obviously painful and infected abcess. I hope that you are better!
@Tiffanip1202 Yes it's healed almost completely. I had the iodine tape removed two days after the abscess lanced, and the person who removed it (different than the person in the video) said it looked alright.
Immediately after the abscess was lanced, they gave me a couple antibiotics via IV, one of which was the heavy duty antibiotic vancomycin (which we later discovered I was mildly allergic to). I've also been taking a couple pills daily since this happened.
@aveman Vanco is given when the infection is resiliant to sulpha antibiotics, in other words Methacylin Resistiant Staphalacacous Aurous (MRSA) and I know I just trashed the spelling of that. This is another reason why she didn't squeeze
@Tiffanip1202 You are not a doctor. This is the correct management of an abcess. Mixture of long and short acting local and lots of it, cruciate incision usually (her incision was also ok) and really get your finger in there and mush it all up. Wash it out with lots of sterile saline, and then pack and dress it. IV abs, then oral abs.
@theprivateer83 I wouldn't think that you would know too terribly much about my personal life and if I am or am not a doctor. That said, I never claimed to be one, I simply expressed an opinion, as stated in my original comment that was responded to with kindness from the actual person, so mind your own business. I don't need a play by play from you on how it should or should not be managed, I already have the info from aveman. You're awfully nosy, and seem to think you know me, hm? Wonder why?
@theprivateer83 and excuse me, while we are on the subject of why you would point me out in particular, why don't you take a peek at some of the other comments, so many that say the exact same thing as I did. If I find that you are following me because you know me and dislike me from another site, I will report you. Are you certain that everyone else that commented is not a doctor either? Some how, some way, this feels personal. Why not call out everyone that didn't like the doc's technique?
Are you sure that she got all of the infection out of abscess? Maybe its a trick of the light but the thing looked like Mount Vesuvius ready to burst. She didn't check for clots or irrigate it with saline. Maybe that's not their procedure but it didn't look right. I hope you are OK...lets us know.
@aveman Great to learn that your place healed up well. Doctor did a pretty good job of deadening it with the xylocaine local injection to make it tolerable. I agree with carmy60 about what the doctor didn't do, but otherwise looked like a good job. Just glad it came out OK for you. RN
