@musicalfannetje Well, Jacob turned into an asshole by the time New Moon/Eclipse rolled around. Meyer basically deconstructed his character to make Edward seem like better choice, when, in actuality, neither of them would be a good choice. If anything, Bella MAY (very slim chance) have gained some kind of positive character development if she hadn't taken up with Edward or Jacob.

I agree with this video...Twilight is one of the worst books I have read in a while. Alot of people like the book because Bella is a mary jane and anyone...Male or Female can be placed in her shoes. The book was bad and the Fan Girls are even worse...I am so tired of their misspelling and bashing of other people because they don't like twilight. Everyone has an opinion and not everyone is going to agree with you so grow up and act your age.
I just don't get how Edward can make a baby. He has to have a beating heart to pump the blood to get an erection. Then there is the whole production of sperm thing. If he can create viable sperm, why then can't a forever 17 year old girl have viable eggs? You can't say that it's because she can't menstruate or that there is no blood flow because that would de-legitimize the idea that Edward can get a boner. And on the Sperm thing, Sperm need regular body temperatures to survive...

No. I don't hate Stephenie Meyer or the fans of her book. I actually respect Meyer, because I know how hard it is to publish a book. She was rejected thirteen times, so she didn't give up, and obviously someone liked her idea.
Some of the fans can be a little crazy, but I don't hate them, because they're still people.
I agree with a lot of your points - though the first can be discussed since Edward IS a lightbulb (read: sparkling vampires). The fact that he has that quality is completely silly of course, but that's a different discussion. I completely agree on how annoying the fanatic Twilight fans are, though I find it kind of silly that you hate the BOOKS because of the fans. Even though I liked the series, I agree with you in most points. You're one of the first anti-twilighters I've seen who haven't just told the fans that they're stupid for liking it. I'm actually sometimes ashamed of some of the twilight-fans, the way they go into extremes - but really, that's just what happens when something gets this overrated. I actually think it's an OK vid, and maybe it can convince some normal twilight fans that you guys aren't just pure evil! ^^

Bella really is the most annoying part about Twilight for me. i've never read the books, nor do i desire to, but i have seen the movie, i was on my senior trip for high school, and the bus driver put the movie in claiming that the girls have a right to watch a movie, and never let the guys pick a movie. But enough of that. my problems with the movie are, it seemed like it was low budget, the actors were shit, and they changed how vampires were created from old fiction(this last point not biggest problem)
I'm not even so much worried that the vampires sparkle, even though they're a bastardization of actual vampire lore. I'm just mad that the books aren't good and that little girls, teenage girls, and their mothers are heralding this book like its the greatest damn thing in the world.

Not all Twilight fans are bad, because I have a few friends that are sane fans, but still tell me that I don't know what romance is since I don't like Edward or Bella, nor their relationship. But, the crazy ones that'll jump on me and rip my ears off because I hate Twilight, I'll have nothing to do with them. One girl at my school actually told me she'd kill me if I said anything bad about Edward! Needless to say, I'm still alive.
Just one thing though - I thought Jacob was okay. I mean, he was the only one who had a personality. Then again, I only read the first two books, so I didn't see him get a personality transplant and turn into a proto-rapist. :P
In, I think, Eclipse, Jacob pretty much kisses Bella against her will. He mind rapes her in a tent, with Edward there, I believe. Then to put the jimmies on the shit sundae, he imprints on her demon spawn in the last book.
I think the imprinting stuff could have been interesting if it had been handled by a better writer than Smeyer - for instance it could have shown some real conflict between the shapeshifter and the imprintee. But nooo, SMeyer had to use it as a Deus Ex Machina so that everyone can find his soulmate and have a happy-end! Blergh.
I agree. It would have been better and an interesting tie-in to the story were it handled by a better author. Meyer wants no hardship to come by her perfect characters, so they just have to come into these seamless, almost forceful, relationships, and twist it to make it seem like TWU WUV.

I agree with this video...Twilight is one of the worst books I have read in a while. Alot of people like the book because Bella is a mary jane and anyone...Male or Female can be placed in her shoes. The book was bad and the Fan Girls are even worse...I am so tired of their misspelling and bashing of other people because they don't like twilight. I just don't get how Edward can make a baby. He has to have a beating heart to pump the blood to get an erection. Then there is the whole production of sperm thing. If he can create viable sperm, why then can't a forever 17 year old girl have viable eggs? You can't say that it's because she can't menstruate or that there is no blood flow because that would de-legitimize the idea that Edward can get a boner. And on the Sperm thing, Sperm need regular body temperatures to survive...

No. I don't hate Stephenie Meyer or the fans of her book. I actually respect Meyer, because I know how hard it is to publish a book. She was rejected thirteen times, so she didn't give up, and obviously someone liked her idea.
Some of the fans can be a little crazy, but I don't hate them, because they're still people.

I like the Twilight books a lot, but it's not the best books I've read. I think the first one was the best and then they got worse and worse..

Even though I liked the series, I agree with you in most points. You're one of the first anti-twilighters I've seen who haven't just told the fans that they're stupid for liking it. I'm actually sometimes ashamed of some of the twilight-fans, the way they go into extremes - but really, that's just what happens when something gets this overrated. I actually think it's an OK vid, and maybe it can convince some normal twilight fans that you guys aren't just pure evil! ^^

Bella really is the most annoying part about Twilight for me. Twilight was a suffering of the mind for me.
I read Twilight, and thought it was okay.
I read New Moon, and I just thought it was bad.
I read Eclipse, but it was so stupid that I can't remember anything from it after reading it.
I read Breaking Dawn, got disgusted at the birthing scene, and put the book down for a week.
I was able to finish it, but my outlook on the entire series changed.
My hate for Twilight as summed:
40% The Series
40% The Crazy Fangirls
20% Stephenie Meyer.

i've never read the books, nor do i desire to, but i have seen the movie, i was on my senior trip for high school, and the bus driver put the movie in claiming that the girls have a right to watch a movie, and never let the guys pick a movie. But enough of that. my problems with the movie are, it seemed like it was low budget, the actors were shit, and they changed how vampires were created from old fiction(this last point not biggest problem)

Hey, thanks for your comment. Not all Twilight fans are bad, because I have a few friends that are sane fans, but still tell me that I don't know what romance is since I don't like Edward or Bella, nor their relationship. But, the crazy ones that'll jump on me and rip my ears off because I hate Twilight, I'll have nothing to do with them. One girl at my school actually told me she'd kill me if I said anything bad about Edward! Needless to say, I'm still alive.

In, I think, Eclipse, Jacob pretty much kisses Bella against her will. He mind rapes her in a tent, with Edward there, I believe. Then to put the jimmies on the shit sundae, he imprints on her demon spawn in the last book.

I think the imprinting stuff could have been interesting if it had been handled by a better writer than Smeyer - for instance it could have shown some real conflict between the shapeshifter and the imprintee. But nooo, SMeyer had to use it as a Deus Ex Machina so that everyone can find his soulmate and have a happy-end! Blergh.

I agree. It would have been better and an interesting tie-in to the story were it handled by a better author. Meyer wants no hardship to come by her perfect characters, so they just have to come into these seamless, almost forceful, relationships, and twist it to make it seem like TWU WUV.
