If you keep the 4g smartphone on your line already grandfathered in with unlimited data you get to keep it!! Droid 3 however, is a silmilar phone minus lte, but is a global phone yo ucan use in other countries.
I think the extra plate with the car dock is like the removable one on the hd dock to allow room for the extended life batteries and cases...the other port on the hd dock is for the 3.5mm audio cable for external speakers
The HD dock does have an installed insert that can be removed. When docked you can plug in and use any usb mouse or keyboard or flashdrive. Not sure, but I think printers too. Then using the micro hemisphere port on the dock you can hook it up to a tv or monitor. So it can work like a computer
This is a good review of the phone and accessories, but seriously, is ANY phone worth $600? Does anyone actually pay full retail prices on phones? This phone ROCKS for the 200 or even 300 price tag. Use your new every two, and work the sales people and you will get a great phone and possible some good accessories cheaper than retail. PS, zumocast works great on a PC, but on a MAC is has ALOT of issues.
@boltfan55 Well the problem for me is that I don't want to renew my contract first of all since I will be out of the U.S. in about 1 1/2 years. So only way to get the NE2 is to add a new line. Which changes my contract to a new one and thus rids me of the unlimited data. The accessories I got for a very good price and a few extra things here and there.
@boltfan55 If you pay retail you can also get reduced prices on your monthly fees cause a portion of their profit off your plan doesn't have to go towards the phone. (you're still paying for your $600 phone, just over 2 years) [Buying retail can actually save you more $ than sticking to contract]
Oh... and the port on the back of the HD Dock you were questioning, its an audio jack. The Standard Dock has one too, though I haven't used/tested it yet.
Can you confirm... you mentioned the HD Dock wouldn't fit the Extended battery. The Standard dock does, as it has an insert (installed from factory) that you can remove. That ENTIRE piece surrounding the phone on the dock pops out, check it and verify please so everyone knows .
go get some pu**y man
