Kavakos is a great violinist. Before anyone jumps me for this post, yes; he could outperform me if he were sloppy drunk and playing with a 3/4 bow -, but I just can't like his style. For these sonata, I truly prefer Tomoko Kato for most of them - especially #3 and #14 - and Thomas Zehetmair for a few of the others. No Kavakos interpretation of anything has made it into my list of favorite interpretations so far.
@OddStatistic , sure i respect ur opinion of not liking his interpretation.....but , this interpretation is almost the most articulated one , and without losing its brilliance or its tempo...thats why i like it, but if u don't like it its ok....i just wanted to defend him :D:D:D
