  • too bad it looks like pure shit

  • You lost me at top speed 65mph :(

  • i could see also Israel with 5,6 millions of this cars and cero oil imports!

  • Like it or not ,this is what USA needs to get rid of imported oil ,trade deficits and budget deficits

excellent ,i want to buy one!

  • That's it! Next car I'm buying is this little dinky car. I'll add some mods to it( extra battery and some solar panels). Love it!

  • congratulations, very nice video and car. From argentina german gomez

  • looks better than Smart car

  • what song @1:38?

  • They should add a gas electric generator to extend the range even more

  • I'll be interested to seee how this car performs in the Radio 4 round europe challenge.

  • Good documentary and very funny too!!

Sorry!

  • You heard them. By driving electric for 3 days, they denied 36 trees a year's worth of CO2. Is this what we really want?

  • I want to know how much money in US Dollars will this think city car cost?

    Bottom Line__________

  • @justice1thunder I think it is early 30s.

without batteries. it's certainly not cheap and despite something like 200million $ invested they've gone bankrupt several times. while I am a big fan of electric cars, the think business case is not impressive. maybe they can get going this time

  • I think you can get two new Corvettes for the same price!

  • @jabajabamaster A new Corvette on the road in Norway would be, roughly, 100'000 USD with the basic model. A Th!nk should be around 40'000 base model and 50'000 with all the bells and whistles. It's rather 2 Th!nks for the price of 1 'vette...

  • You'll probably get two Corvettes for the same price.

  • This review is so subjective...

  • @Toerme yeah the subject is called the truth

  • @DanFrederiksen, My point is, this seems to be a completely worthless car but the guy doesn't seem to find any disadvantages at all...

  • The owner of this brand drives around in sportscars with fast engines. He does not drive the cars that me make.

    Just so you know it.

I want to see a crash-test of theese cars.

  • Hydrogen for fuel? I don't believe it's going to happen. Why, because it takes more energy to make hydrogen than it does just put gas in our cars. More energy consumed= more pollution. Another thing to consider is that we will get the hydrogen from fossil fuels not water, so hrdrogen = a fuel that is going to run out. If you think EV's are expensive, hydrogen cars will be worse, about $100,000 each, at that price I'll stay with my gas powered car.

  • @kevthor64 true, that's why the do "invest" in hydrogen cars, and not in EV; because the latter do work, and they won't forget petrol until It is all gone...

  • A job well done on this video, useful info, entertaining, good at keeping your interest. It is the best interest of the oil companies for our cars to get 2mi. to the gal. instead of 200mi. to the gallon. Right now our cars are about 30 to 40% efficient, but a powerplant efficiency is about 70 to 85%. It is in the best interest for the power companies to burn less fuel for the power made. So the question to ask is; who do you want on your side, the power companies or the oil companies?

  • lmao that guy is hilarious! "it is quite capable of having sex in this car" lolll and swinging lol :)

  • price (eur)?

  • one thing about the comparison to hydrogen powered cars, and electric powered cars. To charge the electric car in the first place, you need electricity (obviously XD) but that electricity comes from a powerstation, thats doing more damage to the environment, than a normal combustion engined car, there is no way of powering a car, that doesn't damage the environment at all, every way, there would be somewhere along the line that it does something.

  • Wind Power, hydro power, geo thermal power. Plus, the carbon output of a power plant is not going to change due to one car plugged in.

  • Well you could power cars from green electricity, which gets more developed everyday. Scientists from Harvard and Finland have calculated the possibilities of wind power. They found out that with a fully built world wild wind power park we would have more than enough electricity for the whole world.

  • Theres a drawback with the electric car:

The only reason we have cars as they are today, is because we can fill them up in a matter of minutes, and do much more miles than any electric car.

This electric car can go 110 miles on one charge, which is less than the average petrol powered car, but you have to wait a while for it to charge up, which makes your journey even longer. Which in other words, is just taking a step back.

  • The main reason that we have cars as they are today is that gasoline cars became cheaper than electric cars in the 1920's. And oil companies didn't mind.

Anyways, how often do you drive for more than 110 miles in day? Two days in a year? You can charge it while sleeping. Besides, batteries are getting better and in few years we will have e-cars going as far as petrol cars. Check out Tesla Model S!

  • Lol, i like how it doesnt make a sound when the engine starts~

    it just turns ON

  • "It isnt called swinging, its turning" :-)

  • HD both taking life and giving life when comes to movies.. it is sucking the "movie" feeling of "man that's a good movie!" and replacing it with "man that look like standing right here in the room!" it sucks out dreaminess but it gives clarity!

  • Why isn't it possible. The original Th!nk's Ford produced are still being driven here. This is definitely a much better upgrade. I would prefer to have this version than even the Th!nk Ox. Electric Aid, do you think it is possible to buy one of these now and get it to the US?

  • The Th!nk Ox is currently impractical at current battery prices . . . it is at least 2 to 3 years away. Perhaps they could convert to the series-hybrid architecture.

  • At the moment Think only takes new orders for fleet customers. Together with that, they have about 3-400 cars that are being completed for the private customers who ordered it last fall. I saw that the car rental company Hertz was selling 2 of their just recently but they are gone now. I will let you know if something comes up =)

  • I wonder what it takes to be a fleet owner? 12 co-owners of their own company, like a cooperative?

  • I guess anything that is more than 5-10 cars and is not a private consumer can be looked upon as a fleet.

If you have 12 orders to lay on table, I could always play matchmaker for you =)

  • There are only 3 think city's in the US right now, my friends stepdad is the CEO of think, so I got to drive in one of those three

  • This car is amazing (as is the video :) ) Where is this car sold besides Norway? I would love to see it here in the US, but I don't think that'll be possible.

  • maybe with obama, he wants you guys to be more eco-friendly.

  • Clarkson and James May. both are quite disastrously ignorant even though I think May would not be opposed to the truth if he was schooled a bit. he seems to be genuinely curious even though he hasn't acquired much intelligence yet.

  • I drive the Vectrix and I know how much fun is to drive electric.

    Nice review, thanx!

  • This is wonderful. I found out who did the music, but who produced it? All Norway based crew?

  • Glad you like the film =)

All Norwegian crew except for the narrator. In the production/shooting period we where 4-5 people over a period of 3 days plus some extra hours =) Plus 2 guys and the producer/editor in the post production period that took 2 weeks or so.

Credits can be found at the end of the film.

  • yey vi taper aldri norge

  • It takes 12 hours with a 10Amp socket and 8 hours with a 20Amp socket. We just plugged it in at our garage at the end of each day. Typicly around 22:00 and it was ready to go at sunrise the next morning.

  • Great Video.

Where did you charge the car? Did you have to go back home to charge it?

  • Great film, but what about the charging?

  • don't...feed...the...trolls

  • Best electric vehicle review I have ever seen so far. Excellent work!

Norwegian (dont know if its properly translated) :

Den beste elektriske kjøretøyanmeldelse som jeg noensinne har sett slik fjernt. Utmerket arbeid !

  • Heyerdahl english...

  • So you have a problem with Heyerdahl huh? =)

  • Thor Heyerdahl rules! (OK, his anthropology stinks but as an adventurer, he was top notch.)

  • Cool vid!

  • Good video, Clarkson is however more funny ;)

  • Great film. Have in mind that Top Gear is all about speed, cornering and so on...

  • Oh I almost forgot.

Some of my fellow countrymen are commenting below in norwegian so to bring you up to speed here is a translation:

Basicly "UmuligeJulius" Thinks that the film is an embaresment. Why, he has not replied.

Personally I think it is quite embarrising to live in a nation of whiners where nothing is possible before it is a success, and when its finally a success it is of course obvious because "it´s typically Norwegian to be good"

    =P

  • Hvorfor sier dere "Soccer"?

  • Flaut flaut flaut flaut!!

  • You guys rock. =) EV rock as well.

  • Once again, the Swedes prove their ignorance.

  • What Swedes ?

  • runkaballe.

  • L O L !.

You might not see to much of Norway in the commercial market. But take a good look at the corporate oil and space industry. You will be suprised.

  • Bra test av Think!

    Liker best den nye modellen...Ox!

  • I was just thinking JC should watch this...good work fella. great quality HD even on 46". nice one!!

  • Thank you =) Well we can only hope cant we ? =)

  • Tell me where are they going to dispose toxic batteries of this car? Are they going to send them to the moon?

  • This car does not use acid batteries. It uses sodium batteries for cold markets and lithium for for "normal" markets" Both are highly recyclable.

  • So they're a lot better than than nickel-cadmium, good. Lithium is potentially dangerous to human organism but it's nothing comparing to cadmium. Don't get me wrong, I totally approve this vehicle I just wanted to resolve my doubts, and I did :) I'd be happy to buy this vehicle, as soon as my country's energy production drop from 95% coal, to something like 20%. But for countries like Norway or Switzerland it seems to be perfect transportation.

  • Why wait for coal power to be phased out? EV's are so efficient with current battery technology that it's still way cleaner to run an EV that is charged completely from Coal than it would be from gas.

Think about the carbon footprint / emissions of getting gas to your pump. First, you have to power an oil rig to get the oil out of the ground. Then you have to transport the crude to a refinery. Then you use a lot of electricity / power to refine the crude. Then it has to get to the pump!

  • @Shrubtastic I HATE it when people give the coal-powered electricity argument!!!!!!! THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE: Here we have an electric car next to a gas car. The electric car gets it's power from a coal plant. The gas gets it from gasoline. One day, the government installed solar panels all over and wind turbines too. Now the electric car gets it's power from renewable resources. And the gas car can't go anywhere, because foolish humans worried about coal power sucked the earth dry of oil. The End

  • Looks super-tasty, drives great, easy to park I bet. Glad to see the future. Great video - never liked Clarkson anyway - so happy if you can put him out of a job.

  • Hey Clarkson! This is what an actual (entertaining) review of an electric car looks like.

Perhaps some study in your spare time and you'll come to do as well as they have, you douchebag.

I used to enjoy TG, but somewhere along the way you became another Bitter Little Man (actually bitter large man, I suppose.)

  • I've tryed the City myselfe and It really works like a charm no matter what condition! Used it for commuting for a period and loved It!

  • Crank up that factory and build more cars! You've got back orders for at least another 1500 of them.

  • That was freakin awesome. Definitely dispels all the myths about electric cars and cold weather.

This is far better than the Antiques Roadshow aka Top Gear. Its about time those geriatric dinosaurs realised this is the 21st Century.

    'Its pure electric, baby!'
