It looked like a really nice bike bike but it had to of gottin the hell abused out of it. We have to put a second new crankshaft in it, plus we got a new cylinder for it and now our 3rd new piston so as soon as we fix the bike were getting rid of it. im tryin to figure out what new bike im gonna get
@2003hondaCR125R88 yea, i got my KTM probably 3 years ago and ive never had the engine apart. The bike had been built by S&S Powersports of Indiana and it has incredible bottom end. almost like a four stroke. but yeah, im getting ready to tear it down and do the top end my self. Both of my friends i ride with have cr125's. one is a 2000 and the other an 03. The 03 just had new everything and the 2000 needs new piston and sleeve. I would go with a yz 125 or 250 for me.
@ArsnicAlien hell yeah man.. stock for stock KTM is miles ahead. I like the feel of the jap bikes but they are made different and to every rider his own. Its just getting down to the technicallities of each brand and looking at the finer details and thats when KTM lands on the top of the list.

That's a 2002 mate. The 2003-2007's Rear Mudgaurd or fender what ever you wanna call it is conected to the back number plates. the 2002 is seperate. You must of been ripped off like me lol. But I got mine fairly cheap, £900 with Trailer.
@TWiiSTHD Youre right on it being a 2002 engine and frame. the forks are from a 250sx. (hence the bigger diameter of the fork tubes.) The bike has been running strong with no engine work for 2 summers now!! and it runs like a champ. best investment ever made for me!! oh and youre wrong, it was the 04-07 which its mudguard was connected. the 03 still had the seperate (better looking to me) side plates and fender. i was not ripped off at all!

As long as you have overall good body strength and endurance then youll be fine. As long as youre 5'5 and up then you wont really have a prob unless you dont have any experience on a two stroke.

@worldskater31~ I can tell u that its definitely NOT a '01. Its at least an '02. If it has the external pre-load adjusters on the top of the forks and if the forks are 48mm.... then its an '02. Its also got a pre-'03 front fender.
@marek0086 I ran the vin numbers. 02 frame. measured the fork casing and got 50 mm. only from a 250 or 450 would the 50 mm be issued and the engine is a 5 speed but in 02 they were 6 speed so its a newer engine. i knoo its 02 plastic.

Actually, IN 2001-2002 ama SUPERCROSS and motocross they did have a significant amount of wins. Also, Jeremy mcgrath raced for them in the day, Grant langston, Billy laninovich, and endurocross champion taddy bluzaziak wins every round last year.(with a broken wrist.)

@2003hondaCR125R88 Looks like Honda is behind with there cr's. No production of the 125 since 07. They didnt change since 05. It looks like we are both talking about 2003 model bikes, in the 90's KTM was primarily focusing on enduro racing. If you couldnt tell with the production of the 300, 360, 380, 125, 200 EXC MXC models. Looks like Honda was behind in the 90's as well with the offroad enduro market.

@worldskater31 lol, where do u buy ktms new? the one ktm dealer i know of went out of bussiness and the only people i know that have ktms bought them used. and i wasnt tryin to piss u off i was just givin my opinion. my friend turned from a atv rider to a dirt bike rider after he rode my bike and he happened to get a ktm and all i ever hear is how amazing ktm is and how all the other brands suck

I live in a rural Kentucky town and there are 6 KTM dealers in a 50 mile radius. also, there are many multibrand shops all over the place like for ex. (Rex's KTM yamaha and suzuki.) They can order a ktm and have it shipped there. Well you dont have a very convincing arguement that KTM is the worst brand because if anything, they are one of the top brands. READY TO RACE STOCK. plus they are top of enduros

@2003hondaCR125R88 This year we have KEN rocxen, a sixteen year old kid, placing in the top five in nearly every race. we also have Mike Alessi, which places in the top ten most of the time. Andrew short which usually does better than allesi. Listen, KTM has done alot more than honda in this day in age tohelp get young kids started in the sport. And there doing it on their traditional two strokes with the 50 65 85 and 105 that kills the crf150r. Ill never own a 08+ honda, im a 2 stroke supporter

@2003hondaCR125R88 Also where do you live? because i like that track in your videos. plus a 125 is a 125 and they all arent that different until you get down to the finer details. both my friends have cr 125's and i stay right with them in the trails. My bike hasnt been rebuilt in possibly 3 years and my friend just had his 03 cr 125 rebuilt top to bottom and we dragged in a field and we stay right beside each other. Plus the only dealer i have close is a Honda shop and they are fucking crooks. They told my friend that had a cr125 that they wouldnt just tear it down for less than 600. thats pure bullshit. man, was that a bad day for that salesman. They tried to get my friend a 180 lbs 6'3 teenager to sell his 125 and buy a crf150f. how stupid is that!!

@worldskater31 yeah dealers definatly rip u off. we actually have my cr125 engine apart right now, we bought the bike used last november and since then weve put like $1200 into the engine in repairs. It looked like a really nice bike bike but it had to of gottin the hell abused out of it. We have to put a second new crankshaft in it, plus we got a new cylinder for it and now our 3rd new piston so as soon as we fix the bike were getting rid of it. im tryin to figure out what new bike im gonna get

@2003hondaCR125R88 yea, i got my KTM probably 3 years ago and ive never had the engine apart. The bike had been built by S&S Powersports of Indiana and it has incredible bottom end. almost like a four stroke. but yeah, im getting ready to tear it down and do the top end my self. Both of my friends i ride with have cr125's. one is a 2000 and the other an 03. The 03 just had new everything and the 2000 needs new piston and sleeve. I would go with a yz 125 or 250 for me.

That's a 2002 mate. The 2003-2007's Rear Mudgaurd or fender what ever you wanna call it is conected to the back number plates. the 2002 is seperate. You must of been ripped off like me lol. But I got mine fairly cheap, £900 with Trailer.

@TWiiSTHD Youre right on it being a 2002 engine and frame. the forks are from a 250sx. (hence the bigger diameter of the fork tubes.) The bike has been running strong with no engine work for 2 summers now!! and it runs like a champ. best investment ever made for me!! oh and youre wrong, it was the 04-07 which its mudguard was connected. the 03 still had the seperate (better looking to me) side plates and fender. i was not ripped off at all!

@matthewmarrs123 I was about 5'5 in the video. i still have the bike. Almost three years after this video. It doesnt really matter height wise. As long as you have overall good body strength and endurance then youll be fine. As long as youre 5'5 and up then you wont really have a prob unless you dont have any experience on a two stroke.

hmmmmmm what i dont get is why you would buy a bike like this?? its like a £1000 nd u cant use it on the road, so ud either have to live on the site where you use it , or buy a trailer and a car with a tow bar. i own a 1989 kawasaki kmx 125 which is road legal and a great off roader..... the kmx started out as field bikes, but then kawasaki made them road worthy, just seems more sense to get a oad legel motocross bike nd just right it to the site nd then back home.....you see my point??

@worldskater31~ I can tell u that its definitely NOT a '01. Its at least an '02. If it has the external pre-load adjusters on the top of the forks and if the forks are 48mm.... then its an '02. Its also got a pre-'03 front fender.

@marek0086 I ran the vin numbers. 02 frame. measured the fork casing and got 50 mm. only from a 250 or 450 would the 50 mm be issued and the engine is a 5 speed but in 02 they were 6 speed so its a newer engine. i knoo its 02 plastic.
