Spaying and neutering is simply the right thing to do. Over the millennia, we humans have domesticated dogs and cats to the point that they depend on us. So as far as nature goes, it is our responsibility to help control their population.
Yes, it broke my heart taking away my cat's ability to give birth, but the uncertain fate of a half dozen beautiful kittens would grieve me much more!
Ingrid Newkirk sounds like a nut. Maybe we should all go out and build a campfire or better yet...NO FIRE!! It's bad. Let's just eat berries. At least YOU can. Then you won't clutter up the computer with your inane remarks.

We don't own them just like parents don't OWN their children they're living creatures not property. theres different more humane ways to keep them from breeding out of control. But hell they don't kill orphans in the orphanary do they? they really shouldnt do it to pets. We're really the ones that will overpopulate the earth. WE CHOP DOWN FUCKIN' FORESTS PEOPLE! KILLING MILLIONS OF ANIMALS IN THE PROCESS! my cat got neutered and all he wants to do is eat he wont get up off his fat ass.

Oh i forgot to mention, spaying and neutering increases the risks of prostate cancer. Stop neutering pets or nature will come back and bite you in the ass!
Don't tamper with nature? We tamper with nature by keeping domesticated animals. Not spaying a cat increases thier risk for mamary and uterus cancer, more so than neuter increases the risk of prostate cancer for males.
Which is worse, tampering with nature by not allowing domestic cats to breed freely, or tampering by putting millions to sleep? How would you like to be killed with no say in the matter? If ignorant people were also neutered on a wide scale, we'd not only cut down on dumbasses, but also unwanted domestic animals and republicans.
PeTA themselves are the exact source; they believe in COMPLETE Animal Liberation, which means (among other various things), no animals as pets. Also, PeTA's president Ingrid Newkirk has said herself that she supports breed specific legislation (banning of dogs) for all breeds because it is supposedly 'cruel to keep them as pets, guide or assistant animals'.
Oh yeah you're right it does! I never thought about it before, but now PeTA brings yet more laughability.
Animals don't need to be liberated; you let all the dogs and cats 'free' they're gonna die...common sense, domestic dogs and cats need people to remain healthiest and live longest.
I have several reliable sources; direct QUOTES straight from PeTA President Ingrid Newkirk's mouth, the places their from and the dates. There's quite a bit so they'll all have to be seperate comments.
"One day, we would like an end to pet shops and the breeding of animals. [Dogs] would pursue their natural lives in the wild ... they would have full lives, not wasting at home for someone to come home in the evening and pet them and then sit there and watch TV." -- Ingrid Newkirk
"The bottom line is that people don't have the right to manipulate or to breed dogs and cats... If people want toys, they should buy inanimate objects. If they want companionship, they should seek it with their own kind." - PeTA President Ingrid Newkirk
"For one thing, we would no longer allow breeding...There would be no pet shops. If people had companion animals in their homes, those animals would have to be refugees from the animal shelters and the streets. But as the surplus of cats and dogs declined, eventually companion animals would be phased out, and we would return to a more symbiotic relationship -- enjoyment at a distance." - Ingrid Newkirk

Too bad the reason PETA wants everyone to spay and neuter their pets is to eliminate the species completely (they think it's 'cruel to own animals as pets. guide or assistant animals')
Thank you; I always enjoy a good round of pissing off the ignorant. True I am more liberal than conservative (don't know about you, but I'm no George W. Bush supporter), but I am both to some degree.
And why does exposing the truth about PeTA make me a peice of shit?
I'm not pissed off. I'm a Bush supporter, he's done absolutly nothing wrong. Would you rather us sit here on our asses and let them attack again? Bimbo.
Actualy I should have read your comment a little more carefuly in the beggining. I though it was you who though owning animals is wrong, that's were the liberal BS came from. I certainly don't support PETA. Humans come before animals and I'm more worried about them. Anyways, this country's Media is all liberal minded so there's no way to know the true views of America through the Media....
... A good friend of mine is from Iraq, and when he went to the middle east about 1 1/2 years ago, he went to Afghanisthan and he said all the people there love Bush for helping the country. He said the same about Iraq, but the liberal minded Media would never show that.
I hate PETA with a passion. But I LOVE this video!!! hahahah

It's up to us.

Bush had a warning months BEFORE the terrorist attacks, and simply ignored them, but I suppose that's besides the point.
The reason we're in this war in the first place is because he wanted to finish what his father started.
I'm don't support Bush, who's as crooked as a dog's hind leg, and I don't support PeTA who euthanizes 2/3rds of the animals they take in.

Well at least that's cleared up. I think it's moronic that PeTA wants to get rid of pets and seeing-eye dogs.
PeTA cares about animals, not people. And that's one of their biggest down-falls.

Agreed.
