Bad luck on the reaction to the bite mate. I've been bitten on 2 occasions (a single and multiple bites) and had no adverse reaction. They get up your pants so fast there is not much you can do once they are pissed off.

The aftermath of a bite for me was similar to a tick/leech/spider bite/suck. It leaves an itchy slightly painful spot for up to a few weeks.

PS. Burning Metho/Petrol down the hole will have a better chance of destroying the nest. If you feel you have to kill!

thanks jimbo, i used to do the metho thing as a kid, problem is it only wipes out those in the nest and many more are wandering around, when they come home the powder sorts them out!
