Weather effects look nice, but the motion of the trees and grass is totally unnatural. Way too oscillatory. HirniNG's work is a lot better.

The thing i like about the Dunia Engine is I can run it at 1920X1080 with 8X AA and everything on Very High with DX 10 enabled and still get an average of 54 fps a second and the graphics quality is deffinetly up there.

The CryEngine 3 is weaker then 2 you know that!? It's designed to run on consoles...

But the engine is so heavy to run it require too much. And it's physics are to laugh at because of major lagg and lot's of bug. I'll wait for CryEngine 3 to decide I just hope they improve it!

@SMGJohn - Umm no- how bad would that make Crytek look if they made CryEngine 3 weaker than 2? They had seperate dev teams working on both Console and PC versions. CryEngine 3 supports features that aren't even in CryEngine 2 let alone be better than it. The physics in CryEngine 2 far surpass that of the Dunia engine as well, like a lot of others have said, watch the Mass Physics videos, Dunia Engine can't even render what CryEngine 2 renders.

DUNIA is better at physics but cryengine is better at visual some times i can see a rule of a train inside the terrain in dunia i haven't saw that yet!

but at the mountains cryengine is better with HQ terrain because dunia hasn't good bitmap analyse...

dunia fits at farcry2 and cryengine fits on crysis

For me personally i like a bit better dunia i don't want the visuals but the physics...

Source Engine is good on physics better then CryEngine 2 and Frostbite Engine as well. Reason why CryEngine 2 is bad because it's producing so fake graphics it ain't even close to reality but it looks pretty good

Can I say that after playing one of the most convincing nature game experiences (perhaps #1) in FarCray2 I feel swindled. What will I remember about this game in a few years time? The entertainment value of a graphically less convinging game such as GTA Vice City compares far better. FarCry2 really is enjoyable gaming but the fact that the graphics is sooo right on will never matter once other better designed stories using the same level of graphics comes along. Day of the tentacle with DUNIA?

The games gonna look good on youtube because you cant see the bland and low resolution textures up close. From far away the games gorgeous, but its when your actually playing the game, that it fails to impress with that "woah" factor that Crysis gave. Again, im a PC gamer, us pc gamers are so jaded when it comes to graphics its almost a crime but we demand top notch graphics its in our nature as PC gamers. For 360 and PS3- Far Cry 2 is "next gen" but for PC gamers its "been there and done that"

To me, (im playing Far Cry 2 right now)- the graphics really werent that impressive. They certainly werent on Crysis level let alone even be in the same league as Crytek's flagship engine Cry Engine II. The facial animations and textures in FC 2 really arent that much different from most of the DX9 games ive seen out there. Ill give credit where credits due, i mean FC 2's vegetation shadows and post processing is top tier, but the textures and bump maps just dont seem detailed enough.

I'm playing it on Xbox 360, and it hasn't rained yet...  :( otherwise it's a very good, open-ended action game if you just want to explore and fight Merc camps... My take on it is, take it slow and explore, as this game is about the journey and the environment NOT getting to the end as fast as possible.

Actually If u have already played far cry 2 you know that weather doesn't change so fast. There's no storm like that, with visible changing range of fog, actually there's no such a fog like on this video and clouds never cover the sun so fast, it happens slowly, imperceptibly and even then, there's only rain and wind. But anyway, it looks great and the whole game is still impressive and a revolution of all FPS.

Ok, the graphics are great, the realism is even greater, but what I want to know is, how is the AI? I mean, is it going to know when its foggy and hard to see, making you less vonurable to being caught, or is it just going to automatically know when you enter the parameter. Is the AI going to know when to take cover from a storm or is it going to stay outside on patrol no matter what the weather. That's what I dynamic AI that works with the weather and environment. This part kinda scares me.
