the gun was in a vice, a very well dialed in shot... not a trick shot. anyone with a barrel sight laser pointer could aim that. not saying it wasnt awesome but the title is misleading to say the least
@JDub855 I was too lazy in actuality. lol All I had were some small water balloons at the time. It did take me quite a few shots to split the pellets still. The pellets would usually just miss the edge and leave long streaks along the side of the hatchet.
@danielk321 they also used real bullets not pellets so the mithbusters did not do anything like you see in this vid so who gives a shit be thankfull this awsome youtuber even posted such an interesting vid or else you would be watching porn right now!
@danielk321 Who said he used a stand? Can't someone hit a hatchet with pellets and NO stand or superhuman abilities? It's not easy, but it IS possible!
@monkeyslaye I had about 25 or 30 takes. My camera battery kept going dead so I'd charge it for a bit and take a few more shots so I never got into a good pace. I should have charged up the battery all the way before I started.
It's good to keep that battery charged at all times. Li-ion batteries have the opposite effect than NiMh and NiCa. It doesn't have charge memory like the other two, but it's life span will shorten if left uncharged.
That's why Li-Ion batteries for old laptops that aren't used anymore won't really hold a charge anymore when you finally dust off the old laptop and use it to see if it still works.
@ryukenosuke Ah! Good advise. I started having trouble with my camera holding the date and a few other settings after removing the battery to charge overnight. It's kind of annoying, There must be a small internal battery to hold the memory that is going out.
Yea, there is one. It's odd that it can't hold that info overnight. I think mine lasts about 3 days without a battery before the date and stuff has to be re-entered.
@ryukenosuke If i remember right mine would hold the memory about three days too when it was new. I searched around the Casio PDF file (instruction) hoping to find some info on the backup battery, but I haven't found any info yet. Ever take a camera apart? They are like a Chinese puzzle, haha.
I've been way too afraid to take it apart, but if you ever decide to do so, please please please video it, so you can upload it for the rest of the F1 users. ^_^
@ryukenosuke by the tripod mount, it looked like a little hatch where a battery might be but no luck. Cameras are like a dang puzzle I tell you. They seem to use 20 different-sized screws and in order remove one section of the camera, you first have to remove 10 hidden screws on the other side. There's a saying, "any fool can take a watch apart..." Cameras probably fall under that catagory..
@TheJohnnyairgun Thanks! I shot an aspirin in my new video. It didn't come out tooo bad but it was really too bright to film. I should have used a filter
pretty cool, hopefully sunday i'll site in the scope on my new gamo, it does 1000fps with lead, and maybe it'll quiet down after a few shots, the first shot dieseled i think, quite a bit of smoke...
@SlaveZero1234 I have terrible luck with BB's. They will bounce back at your or hit your tailgate of your truck and ding it... oh.. that's me. haha. The pellets usually don't bounce back. I had my UV filter on so that should absorb most of the impact.
@taofledermaus yeah they very rarely hit me aswell, but sometimes they fly past my ear or something. I also always keep an extra lens on the camera, just to protect the main lens. Also good if you blow up some things.
@taofledermaus Maybe you should test the durability of the hatchet and split some wood in slow mow, the splintering would be cool.. Maybe that legendary stool !
@SocomElite187 Ah! I didn't even think of the other uses I can do with the hatchet. I should be able to come up with something. The splitting is a nice start. thanks!!
@SocomElite187 I've definitely thrown that thing a lot while camping. The trick is to find the right distance from the target so the head is in the right position to stick to the target. I'll definitely look into that. I don't think I can hurt myself TOO bad or burn down the vacant lot again.... haha
Certainly not a trick shot. The air rifle bench rest shooters would pull that shot off 24 out of 25 times.

put balloons on either side and try to pop them in one shot. I was able to do that, it's a fantastic feeling

@taofledermaus Yeah, but that's still pretty good, 30 shots. Did you have a rifle rest or something? Like some sandbags or a vice?

@monkeyslaye I use a short ladder to prop the gun on and to keep it lined up next to the camera.
