  • This woke me up at 12 midnight in maui yesterday. Couldn't sleep for the whole night.

  • This would be an awesome Dairy Queen ad campaign

  • omg the sound creeps me out every time i hear it i wanna huddle all up in blankets because i keep thinking someones behind me O_O

  • i dont think your suppose to lay in a ditch for a blizzard lol

  • NICE TRY!!!

  • Seriously, they need a better sound than this

  • Actually, There Was A Emergency Alert Warning At Here At Los Angeles In October About A Thunderstorm, Hail, And Flood. The Sound Was Perfectly The Same But The Screen Was Different.

  • I wished there was one in Riverside >:(

  • lol winds of up to 100 mph

  • How'd you get the voice?

  • wait, 00:00?

  • San Francisco get's 2" of snow and they call it a blizzard.

  • pssh ill eat the blizzard...* soft talking * OH OH OK this blizzard is the STORM oh ok i thought it was the ice cream product

  • Not as unsuspected as Miami, lol

  • "OR LIE FACE DOWN IN A DITCH..." Lmao

  • THAT IS REALISTIC

  • don't lie down in a ditch.

  • A blizzard warning..PLEASE! thats..dumb

  • now, that's an oxy moron.

  • lol wth is with me and EBS's?

I've been looking a five other videos with EBS alerts.

  • "take cover in a strong building, or lay face down in a ditch."

hmm a blizzard and a tornado at the SAME TIME?! awesome...

  • @videogamelovergirl12 If that happened, I'd just throw up my arms and do my best Cartman imitation: "Screw you guys, I'm going home!" Besides, if you lie face down in a ditch in a blizzard, you're liable to wake up and be part of the scenery till you thaw out! lol!!!

  • WHAT IT IN, CA THAT IS MY STATE

  • Ya-hah.

  • I'd like to see Lombard Street covered in snow. >:3

  • Blizzard In San Fransisco? Even Worse Would Be One Here In Phoenix.

  • A blizzard warning in San Francisco...in April?!

    lolwut

  • LOL @ "Lay face down in a ditch"... if there was a blizzard ANYWHERE, that's sort of the last thing you wanna do, is lay face down in the snow. LOL

  • @amydeanne81

That's one thing I hate about EAS moments, when they provide useless information. I've had that happen in my area a few times. That irritates me more than when the final five minutes of a basketball game I once watched got interrupted by a monthly EAS test. THEY WERE A CRITICAL FIVE MINUTES, FOR GOD'S SAKE! DX

  • yeah, theres a blizzard in California. at your local Dairy Queen store :D

  • lol

  • That would be both cool and weird to see, a ton of snow like that all over San Fransisco.

  • LOL BLIZZARD In San Francisco

  • Holy flirking shnit dude.Could that attention sound at the beginning be any louder!!

  • creepy!

  • A blizzard in San Francisco? COOL!

  • Punny.

  • is this real?

  • A blizzard in California? LOL

  • no way would it be "Blizzard Warning"

"Winter Storm Warning" is more accurate.

  • the voice was still on after it ended

  • Jesus christ that gives me the chills!

  • Like the pun.

  • holy shit

  • Wow, that's a pretty good mockup except for your timezone mistake! Nice sound editing!

  • There's no such thing as "western standard time!"

    NICE TRY!

  • I know. I'm dumb.

  • @mubd1234 tell indianhead66 to chill out

    pun

  • the EAS blizzard! Now that's Comcastic!

  • i wish i heard this that way schools would be canceled ^_^

  • ly face down in a ditch.. LOL.. funny

  • it's cold enough there for it to happen

  • I did make it my self, but i did not make this in movie maker, i made this in a professional program called sony vegas.

  • where do you get the voice? i want that voice in a warning mock-up i might make.

  • Dude, what voice synth did you use, Nuance?

  • REALISTIC!

it scares the crap out of me

  • Do an alert with a grey screen.

  • snow and blizzards are very rare in san fransico along with Severe Thunderstorms and Tornadoes

  • Thats right!

  • Last tornado was in 2005 in south san francisco. before that was in sunnyvale in 1998

  • crap omg i had the volume super high and when the vid started i jumped out of my chair

  • that's what the real warning would do!

  • Also, where could I get the necessary voice? And how to make the authentic text? I'd love if someone would leave me a tutorial.

  • Its my secret!

  • Come on mubd1234, we need to know! How do you do it?

    :)

  • Look up realspeak in google, sign up for the free trial (its a web page that generates .wav files for you) and select tom as the voice. The font is Sydnie

  • I knew that a while ago. I soon got intrested in the EAS warnings. I checked out your video and found out that this was the voice. I used it and it sounded different. Is there some program that you used that affected the sound? Look at my vid(heat warning) and see.

  • ok to make it sound like mine, you have to distort the sound so it sounds like it comes through the tv. I used Sony Vegas 8.

  • How do I get the header code sounds and the attention signal? I can't hear in OGG format. Can I get it in WAV?

  • I'm kind of a weather alert critic, so please don't take this too personally. Blizzard Warnings are issued in leu of any kind of moderate to heavy snowfall with winds over 30 mph. 100mph is nigh impossible for a bizzard; a Hurricane Force Wind Warning would be more likely to be issued. Blizzard Warnings are usually issued at least 1/2 day in advance of the event. Lastly, laying down in a ditch or abandoning a vehicle/trailer may be suffice for a Tornado Warning, but for a Blizzard...not advised.

  • Just replying to let you know that I read your comment, because it must have taken a while to type that up.

My response: It's just a mock up! No offense taken though.

  • Also, San Franciso is in the Pacific time zone, there is no western time zone in the US, only Eastern, Central, Mountain, & Pacific. You should have had "pacific standard time", not "western standard time".

  • blizzard in sanfransisco, wow, that's rare

  • Well, San Fran gets snow every year. think about 24 inches.

  • we get about that much in a week! whoa!

  • I bet you live somewhere north like Seattle, Fargo, or possibly Buffalo, NY.

  • I live in minneapolis so that's obviously why lol. I guess I should have mentioned that =P

  • Blizzard in San Francisco? Pretty cool.

  • what voice is it? were i can use this voice ?

    answer me please!

  • google realspeak, then sign up for their free trial. Then, select toms voice. use little bytes of sound stitched together.

  • you screwed up at the middle of this video... it's "Pacific standard time", not "western standard time" Good video other than that.

  • I come from outside the US....I was fascinated by the EAS in the US, so I made this and another video
