  • It's weird, he doesn't even sound like Steve Vai, on his voice...

  • That last one didn't go thru. Steve gives us the bird at 0:39

  • I wonder why Steve gives him the bird at :39 ? Funny.

  • FUCK YOU FOOD

  • He was rough on himself... with a 12" dildo

  • @sonicfuker lol

  • his fingers are freaky long !

  • I got Flexible a couple of years after Passion and Warfare came out, I didn't know what to think of it. I actually got the tape back out a few months ago and I was thinking, this is genius! Thank you Steve for your music.

  • @XxicruffesionalxX You blasphemer! ))) ROFL

  • Brilliance & Practicality with a New York Accent - that's what I love about America.

  • I want his necklace..

And btw he's my guitar hero. He's an inspiration. Hah!

  • Steve Vai

    The Great

    The God

    The Guitarists' Guitarist

    The Philosopher

    The Maestro

    The Virtuoso

    The Religion

    My Inspiration

  • @XxicruffesionalxX

    I would say FUCK YOU!

Steve Vai deserved my 1 minute to worship, because he inspired me to play the guitar.

Whats wrong with just worshiping him? YOU DON'T ANSWER ME!

I know all these shit you are talking about. And im just using my free time having fun watching his videos and commenting. DUN FUCKING SAY USE MY FREE TIME TO PRACTICE, I DESERVE SOME FUCKING TIME AFTER PRACTICING FOR HOURS. Aren't U wasting your time too? Ranting at my comment? Whats wrong with you? Dick!

  • LOOKS LIKE A WOMAN

  • This guy is just so fucking brillant

  • "Fuck you, asshole" lol

  • Steve is to me the greatest musician and composer of our generation. There are others who are truely gifted, but Steve Vai is my favorite by far. This man is just a musical magician and a great person all rolled into one....God bless him!

  • like his statements around 5:40 true for me and every good spirited musician

  • Vai is God!

  • this came out on my birth-day!

  • Steve Vai is such an artist! He has the skill for sure, but it's always about the emotional content and dynamics, which is what music is really about it. Maybe shredding has a lot of emotional content for people (like me haha) but then he can play the right 2 notes the right way and it can make you cry!

  • @GuillermoSmyser He is that awesome.

  • 0:49 Hahahahaha

  • Steve Vai gives us the finger at 0:39

  • @DonXter I knew it wasn't just me imagining it....thank you....but its an accident of course, Steve's to cool of a dude otherwise.

  • @JohnJamesMaloney Too cool! (English error fix)

  • surprisingly honest about .....everything

  • Did anybody notice that when Steve was quickly scratching his face at the start of the vid, that he accidently gave us the finger - all is forgiven Steve - we still love ya!

  • @JohnJamesMaloney No, we don't know what you're talking about. I think it just shows to you only, so Steve is giving the finger to you personally.

  • @king666nothing Look i'm a Steve Vai fan myself and am not trying to offend anybody, but its one of those silly moments that i picked up on.

Anyway i know Steve's a cool guy who is very extremely talented 'n' switched on and knows how to communicate whats on his mind....its cool whats he's sayin' in this vid.

Look if i offended you and anybody else before, i'm sorry. I was just tried to be little humorours.

  • @JohnJamesMaloney Dude, I was joking! ))) It's all good.

  • @king666nothing Bloody hell you've got a dry sense of humor....fair play mate u really got me with that one....nice one!

  • @JohnJamesMaloney Yeah, that's how I roll. ))))

  • @king666nothing It was his index finger...you both fail haha

  • @Ultrahuntr Your weak-ass attempt to make a smart comment failed. haha

  • @JohnJamesMaloney he does that a lot.

  • The takeaways:

    1. Band chemistry is paramount.

    2. Keep finding new things in your music to keep it fresh and alive.

    3. Work harder than everybody else.

    Love it.

  • @robibm2003 reading your takeaways and these are 100% right. Number 1 is with out a doubt is most important. I spent my time in the LA music scene but any major city in the USA has enormous amounts of talent but with out chemistry between the individuals, being a great player will only take you so fare.

  • @mattgsperm If you've met Vai you would understand the contects of that comment. I have met him a few times and have been to his guitar clinics. He is 10+ as a human. There is NOT 1 drop of arrogance or negativity in his body ! This guy will praise anyone that picks up a guitar. He will not degrade his influences and yes Ed was a late influence. That doesn't mean that you cant surpass your influences ability and Vai has. Ed is in my top 10 players list but Vai is Vai! :-)

  • @jws2

    I have a Vai story:

When I was writing for a rock magazine at one stage of my life, I was backstage at a Poison show at the Palace. I'm a freaking nobody and here comes Steve remembering the one other time we met (which was a while before) and starts pulling me around the room introducing me to guys like Carmine Appice. What more can I say? He's a champ as a human being.

  • @robibm2003, GREAT story but that's Steve! He's the man!!!

  • Does anyone know the intro song?

  • @ZSkILLZz yea lil homie its called die to live

  • @0:40 "It's a very long process I.E. "Fuck you all I am God."

  • Holy shit, it's Bono

  • You look like a vampire!

  • @frankiefury or maybe vampires look like steve vai!!

  • am i the only one who thinks steve could also be comedian. ha. 2:10 -2:30 the best

  • I love Vai. Son of a bitch has the biggest hands I've seen hahaha. No wonder he's the best in the world. Check how he gives us the middle finger on 0:41 hahaha... that's why he's the best...

  • @jws2 Hmm...I don't think Mr. Vai would agree with the idea of comparing EVH with a hamburger :)

  • @asgerms, Your right, Vai wouldn't but that is because he wouldn't degrade anyone! But can Ed read, write, transcribe and orchestrate? NO! Ed is a self taught guitar player and a great one. He is the father of the way most player approach the guitar today but the GREAT players of today are complete schooled musicians and in the years to come they will be outshined by the new and upcoming kids. That's called evolution! By the way Ed is one of my favorits but facts are facts and Vai is Vai. LOL!

  • @jws2 no no no, Its like comparing Sloppy Joe mix to Fine Tilapia sided with Spinach and grated Cheese, in addition to fine Sushi.

  • @ShadowLancer128 Mmm... I'd go for Sloppy Joe right now. ))))

  • @king666nothing :D you asshole. Lol.

  • @ShadowLancer128 Indeed. ROFL. )))

  • @jws2

    Some people prefer hamburgers.

  • @gitarmats haha :)

  • @jws2

    Buckethead

  • I'm not so much into his music, but he's a great guy. Always funny and clever.

  • Such a beautiful insight in music. To go deeper in the note, that just made every piece of music different from now on.

  • Vai is so amazing lol Love His music!!!

  • lol...kinda rare of dis video coz mster steve said 'fck u'....haha..kinda love it anyway

  • id really like to see steve do a rock band with a vocalist again and write songs which appeal to the primal urge..

  • Vai is great man. He's a very mindful guy. Very aware.

    ZEN.

  • Steve,dont worry ; "Flex-able" rules !!!

  • Wait! He WAS with Pia? Did they broke up?

  • @KonkreteXXX I heard the same: "I was still with Pia", but then he says "we've been together for 30 years", which implies it's still the case. Oh well...

  • sounds like they used noise removal on the audio file, his voice sounds thin.

Or he was getting a cold or something.

  • his voice seems too high pitched?>

  • lol! he flips the camera off at 0:39 xD

  • Thanks for this, I try and watch as many of his interviews as possible. He's just a fountain of knowledge.

  • 0:40

    lol...

  • @metalrhoads

I am ready to believe that he did that on purpose to some1 behind the camera.

  • .......he makes me feel fucking stupid. Hes too smart!! It's Scary!!!!! :S

  • awesome!

  • omg! the guy is a music philosopher!

  • You have to be in order to make real the vision that changes music. With a standard outlook on life you'll get standard results.

I'm not dissing general metal and rock music, but it's normal music. Music with another vision will end up with another result; it's just the way things work.

  • @extrafootage yup!!

  • @extrafootage Randy Rhouds blows vai away.

  • @music345boy go home

  • @music345boy awww my boi your right Randy Rhoads IS THE BEST ON EARTH . but you kno steveies not from this planet!
