The only tricks I hated was the ones in Portal 1 where speed runners would just shoot portals through half the map and skip a crap load. Sure it counts but it isnt interesting to skip so much.

@TaRAAASHBAGS That's definately not true. I can bunnyhop a gap to the end of a level on co-op, it skips the entire level. You get nowhere near jumping it if you just do a regular jump.

@TaRAAASHBAGS I'm not a pro at bunnyjumping, but the 90-degree-turn jump does give a speedboost. Also you can accelerate while in air by turning while forward+strafing. I can easily jump distances not possible with regular jump.

@calumb628 He shoots a portal to go up to the orange portal, then when halfway out of the orange portal shoots a blue over toward the block container. He looks down and shoots a blue portal at the cube. As the cube goes into the orange side he (has to do this quickly or the cube will fall) shoots a blue portal at the nearby wall and catches the cube right when it is in the midst of going through the orange portal before falling.

@tharbrick Out of curiosity, did you record this yourself? If so, there's a better way to do slowmo in the Source engine using host_framerate and host_timescale instead of in a video editor. (if not, then this information should be read by Jimbomcb instead)

@Wofiel You can, however it's awkward to export. Just as simple to quarter the speed, considering the source footage was 240fps it's not like frames are being lost etc.

You can't use console in challenges. You need to load the map from the console separately, and then it's impossible to get any archievements/challenges/progr­ess.
