  • how many foot is that net?????????

  • I know it's getting bad when the black people start throwing nets better than me >.<

Jk bout the black part, it's just frutrating to me, lol

  • When on a boat, just get on one knee and do it over your leg. Or if it's CC with a big bow, put the net on the bow and just moved the leads over witrh the net sitting up high.

  • @captjohn86 You need to rename this to *cast net instructions (the hard wet way)*

  • Very good method. My two cents: On a boat it would be difficult because spreading the net would make too much noise or you don't have enough space. That said I'll give it a try. Thanks for the Vid!

  • THANK YOU this video helped me soo much .

  • Wonder if this techinque would work on seven foot nets? In my state we are allowed seven foot length as a maximum. Anyhow, Captain John is the man with this technique. Plan to try it and see if it work.

  • You're welcome man. Glad it worked for you.

  • dude, your method is awesome.

i have used the line in teeth florida method or whatever you want to call it for pretty much my whole life, and this makes it SO much easier to throw over the sides of my boat without destroying my shoulder muscles. i still prefer the old way for small nets, but on anything 10' and up this is definitely the way to go.

the only instruction needed besides watching the video is to hold on with your pinky until the last second before letting go

    awesome video, thx!

  • great throw man .

  • Good throw but no insructions

  • Good throw,but say something

  • The best....I suck at this after two days of practicing other methods. I got this one down just from watching the setup and threw great. Never caught a thing until today...then blammo..25 bunker on two tosses. Thanks for the vid. It could use more narrative to help the nonobservant types though haha. Made my trip today. And no teeth! (thumbs up on that!)

  • I'm still waiting for the 'instructions' that the title promised. It sho looks easy, but damn, it aint.

  • Click on the link where it says "About this video" The directions are there.

  • I have watched this video over and over again this the best I seen.

  • it is so easy, isn't it? lol

  • I know jeff didnt teach you how to do this!

  • The best way to throw a cast net ! a reference !

Merci pour cette superbe démonstration.I have to practice now...

    Pierre from Normandie

  • I second that. I am going to learn his way of throwing if it takes a week of practice.

  • I have watched the explosive action of this video at least 30 times, pausing it at half-second intervals during the actual swing, in order to analyze his technique.

Any chance, Cpt. John, you might be willing to give a slower, more detailed presentation? Heck, you could sell it--and I, for one would buy it.

  • This is the best cast net throwing video I have seen, and I have seen a few its so simple and fluid capt. john is really good
