  • i thought that was which and witch the wicked witch...

  • Comment removed

  • That was probably the stupidest bunch of contestants to ever appear on a game show in the same episode.

  • I didnt know it either. lol

  • Took me 56 seconds to figure out the first puzzle. Geez wheel of fortune, I don't understand you; use punctuation.

  • "CANADIAN MURDER" is the name of my band.

  • how old is this guy?

  • There's 3 people who have never seen the Wizard of Oz

  • The first one was hard, i've never heard of that. The second one was eaaassyy, wow that was my first guess. Anyway, its much different when you are up there and on the clock, than sitting at the comp with all the time in the world. Some people just crack under a little stress, that doesn't make them idiots x]

  • she should have said CANADIAN BACON!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • okay, i wouldn't have guessed either,

but hey, im not english and im still a kid :D

  • First thing I thought of was "which BAD witch," so I can understand the error. Some people aren't so familiar with famous films from 1939. But then it gets a little stupid.

"Canadian murder" fit with the letter choices, though. Plus it's a really stressful situation.

  • I hate Wheel of Fortune... cant wait for them to take it off tv!

  • Watch out. Those Canadians are out to murder you.

  • first one took me like 1 min to figure out lool but right when the second one came up i got it instantly, probly cause im canadian :p

  • First one I actually didn't know, and even when the puzzle was solved, I didn't know.

  • @margierules000 Like, I knew, but I didn't get it at all

  • Did the other two really not know either, or were they just trying to make the first lady feel better?

  • @Caleb9849 Strike my last comment....I hadn't finished watching the video yet...now I know the answer.

  • this is so frustrating to watch lol

  • what kind of "thing" is the Canadian border? while were at it, what's NOT a "thing"?

  • I didn't know the first at all either but the second was really obvious.

  • the second one was obvious

  • Canadian Murder haha

  • A G??? A fucking G??? Ahhhhhh

  • I love Pat's "Wow, this is odd."

  • I had never heard the first one but damn it's a saying and I'm sure I haven't heard every saying the universe, but the second one?... That lady should be fed nothing canadian bacon till she dies lol

  • I seriously thought it was "Which end whcih, the wicked which." Those were 2 extremely difficult puzzles.

  • "birder? oh border!" 03:20 LMAO

  • "birder? oh border!" 03:22 LMAO

  • These people don't seem to realize is that when they foul up on these shows, they're being seen by MILLIONS of people. These three women just made idiots of themselves in front of the whole damn nation!

  • Notice they're all women?

  • Comment removed

  • I thought it was canadian murder too..

  • I didn't understand the first one, but she called a G. Really?

  • WOW im watching this in 2011

  • im canadian i knew the 2nd one at 5 letters on there

  • first of all, i've never heard of "which old witch the wicked witch", so thats just dumb....i've heard of the wicked witch, but i don't even think that was ever a term....second of all, the second one goes under place, however it was very easy

  • @jdjdjdjd3330 The first one is part of the song from the wizard of oz - "ding dong the witch is dead, which old witch, the wicked witch, ding dong the wicked witch is dead"

  • Comment removed

  • If there were only 2 vowels left in the first, i'd have bught one if the vowels. then used my free spin to buy the other. O_D.

  • Comment removed

  • Never heard of the first phrase but worked it out straight after i think the black womans second guess, maybe her third but didn't know the second

  • i knew the first one, and the second was easy too!

  • Canadian Murder?

  • I had trouble with the first one too, but the second one was way easy. Just saying...

  • Just because what seems like so few letters are unknown does not mean they should simply know the answer lest you call them an idiot.

  • The reason it is hard is because linguistically our minds, (For english speakers), Is to fill in the middle spot with a vowel. This is because it ends with a D, and has 3 letters. There are far more prepositions and words such as Had, Hid, Lid, that we will not often think to place the vowel first, Old, Eld, Aid, ect.

  • Given that I hated the movie version of Wizard of Oz, it's a small miracle that the answer came to me (right) before the contestant guessed "L".

  • Wow! i couldn't figure either of those out. And the second one should've went under place or on the map.

  • @briantravelman At that time, they didn't have "On the Map" as a category.

  • @briantravelman wended, retard

  • @briantravelman Both were patently obvious to anyone whose level of English wouldn't have them say things like "should've went."

  • "PLACE" would have been a better category for that, instead of "THING". The Canadian Border is a place.

  • @MichaelBrookham It could honestly be perceived either way, but I agree with you. However, there is no excuse under the sun to justify "Canadian Murder".

  • @jmossinca One word: Nickelback.

  • @MichaelBrookham A border is an invisible line used to separate political entities, "Thing" is the proper category.

  • She must be pretty distrustful of Canadians lol

  • They were all probly sl high lolz!! XD

  • the final puzzle..... jesus christ.............wtf.. THING : Canadian Murder . EPIC!

  • The title you gave this video alone makes me laugh. LOL

  • CANADIAN MURDER!?

  • they should have put a comma or something into the first one, the saying was confusing. and the second one isnt as easy as it seems in hindsight

  • First one: I'd like to solve it!

Second one: my first thought was "Canadian Murder" aswell LOL

  • Why can't the audience just keep quiet? The contestants can't hear themselves think.

  • Ding Dong! The Witch is dead. Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!

Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead!

  • Comment removed

  • everybody stop being jealous, bad things happen sometime!

  • First one was grammatically wrong? "Which old witch? The wicked Witch"?

  • @130Y That's how the song goes. Is the Wizard of Oz really that obscure of a movie?

  • @ssotelo Donno, never actually seen the movie Wizard of Oz... Probably is though seeing as though they have a tin man. :P

  • @ssotelo Thank you! This song is entrenched in popular culture, and was even more so when this episode was taped.

  • First one was tough. Second one was stupid easy.

  • I did not get the first one. I couldnt think of a logical word to put in there...

  • OMG to funny the first one so easy

  • How could anyone born within the last 60 years NOT get the 1st one within 5 seconds? It was a quote so all you had to do was say it while omitting the word that was not up there and BINGO.

  • I feel embarassed that I couldn't get the first one. I never knew that quote.

  • lmao @ the porch monkey

  • How the fuck was the first one hard?

  • yhmm Z 4 Q another Q third Q and a batman symbol !!!!

  • I sat staring at the first one for nearly 30 seconds before I got it. I think because of the lack of punctuation, our brains tend to want to make it a sentence, and there's just no word that logically works there.

The second one... yeah, that was pretty bad. I can't judge, though. Stress does crazy things to a person's brain.

  • She likes to buy an eye. I would like to buy an ear but thats going to happen.

  • Ding dong the odd/mod/mad/bad/sad wicked witch is dead -

  • Sorry, sat here with 5 people watching over my shoulder, and none of us could guess "OLD". Watched that show a million times, and never seen such a horrible quote..

  • CANADIAN __RDER.

Seriously, who the fuck thinks "Canadian Murder" but NOT "Canadian Border"?

  • Im like saying "CHOOSE A FUCKING VOWEL". THe second one was just plain STUPIDITY.

  • Canadian Murder..AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

  • to be completely honest i watched the wizard of oz lots of times in my childhood and didn't get that one either. The second one was true dumbass tho she even said "canadian FUR" fucking 3 letter word and thats a 6 letter word -_-

  • i had NO CLUE what the first one was i feel really stupid.

  • @GenieandHammie Me neither. I didn't know what the 2nd was either. :(

  • Omg!! I feel stupid that I could not figure out the first one! But the second one was easy!

  • Both of them were hard. Give them a break

  • @winter32842 Sorry, but Canadian Border was pretty flipping easy, and the Wizard of Oz quote is engrained into the brains of most children who ever watched the movie. Winning on WOF takes more than just calling the right letters and spinning; you also need to have a satisfactory grasp of pop culture, and, in the case of the bonus round puzzle, 1st grade geography.

  • @jmossinca guessing canadian border on wheel of fortune is not what they teach in 1st grade geography, it has nothing to do with geography. It was obviously easy though.

  • Comment removed

  • @jmossinca I didnt' even know the Wizard of Oz quote, but what the hell else would work there? Especially after 'a' had been ruled out.

  • @jmossinca Agreed.

  • @winter32842 lmao easy as fuck old is so hard huh

  • wow

  • Which old witch the wicked witch wtf?.. thank god I wasn't contestant number 4

  • @FULLmeltHASH Its from wizard of oz...

  • "Canadian murder" You have to admit that was one very good guess!

  • @kdmq kinda funny that the only thing she could think of was murder.

  • canadian border HAHAHAHA retard

  • hey give her credit, canadian murder is a thing

  • @mistersmokymcpot maybe she dont like canadians

  • girls back then looked SO much better.

  • @DoctorRainbow8321 Wow cool comment.

  • I thought the 1st one was and.. then i thought was end.. guess im dumb too

  • I'm guessing you've never seen the Wizard of Oz.

  • @joshplume The majority of people haven't. Even so that one was hard.

  • i didnt know it either the first one but she was guessing letters that wouldnt even form a word

  • Painful.

  • i was literally screaming "border" at my monitor.

  • Canadian murder. LMFAO

  • lmao i had no i idea what it was

  • Two minutes in and I STILL don't know the answer....

  • i thought it was which rod witch lol and then for the second, i thought canadian boarder as in snowboarder rofl

  • what the hell? for number one, i never heard of that befor...

  • @J41mEV4rG45 Ding dong, the witch is dead...

  • @makgirling what?

  • @J41mEV4rG45 rHJoj9IqeKg

  • @makgirling cool -_-

  • The first was obvious enough even despite the criminal lack of punctuation: "wicked witch" was a dead giveaway that it was from the Wizard of Oz, and the word "which" pointed to the song. At that point, you don't even need to have seen the movie to guess it correctly.

The second was hilarious; my first guess ALSO would have been "Canadian murder"!

  • Also, the clip is a little bit off pitch.

  • I wouldn't consider the first round really bad, and I don't consider the contestants to be dumb either. With the way those letters were placed, I think they were just trying to figure out what that little word was. They might have been thinking, "Which BAD Witch" or "Which GOD Witch" or something. Overall, that first puzzle was a tough one to solve.

  • I got it right away being a fan of The Wizard of OZ.

  • i was thinking 'bad' at first well... never heard that quote

  • LMAO

i dont get the difficulty... i got the first quotation from the video thumbnail xD

    these people......

  • In the first puzzle the contestants have no childhood if they've never watched "The Wizard of Oz!"

  • I'm pretty sure I heard the lady playing the bonus round say "never heard of it" after the answer was revealed. Check 3:26, am I right?

  • @nerfherder1986 I think she actually says, "I'll never go there."

  • You have to wonder what on earth they thought the first one was.

The second one, when it first came up, I thought, "Err...everyone's saying this is easy..." Then the woman walked out and turned all the letters round and I went, "Oh."

  • The first one was easy, its a quote from Wizard of Oz!!!

  • 240p FTW

  • The first quote was miserably indecipherable.

  • 1st one was fucking hard, I didn't get it even at the L!

  • @ItsJamesCuhhh you're kidding right?? even after the L???

  • didn't get the first one.. second was so damn easy.

  • "Canadian Murder" would be a great thrash metal band.

  • canadian border!!!!!!!!!

  • @FreshBakedKicks Second puzzle was easy.

  • to be honest i didnt know what it was

  • I cant believe this was real, it seems like it could have been on SNL

  • If I were a producer, I definitely would have put a question mark in that first puzzle. Still, that doesn't excuse the stupidity.

  • it wasn't easy. i didn't know it!

  • @sweetbabynrs1 i didn't know the first

  • I can't believe all the comments for this video that thought the puzzles were difficult. Our education system really is down the tubes...

  • @SunshineSlayer

Well I think some people on here didn't know the first one because they haven't watched The Wizard of Oz as much as people would have back then, or didn't grow up with it as much as people did back then.

I think most people watching this know about the word "old".

  • that first one was hard... lol.. second one yeah she should of shot herself.... murderr

  • i want to die

  • The reason the first one is tricky is that our minds want there to be a VERB for it to make sense. The people who see it right away probably have no grasp of proper sentence structure.

  • @Panzerbush Not really. it's easily noticeable as one of the most famous lines from one of the most well known songs ever. People who don't see it right away are ignorant or too stupid to be able to recognize an example of something that obviously does not follow "proper sentence structure." I'm a bit of a specialist at grammar and syntax, and i got it in a millisecond.

  • Comment removed

  • @XZohar123 You knew it because you knew the song. That's it. If someone didn't know the song already, the word "old" would make absolutely no sense there because just "Which old witch the Wicked Witch" with no punctuation is grammatically incorrect. It's missing a question mark.

  • @janors Yeah, exactly, and I'm that that's why people who get it right away can still have a grasp of proper sentence structure. This is probably one of the most well known songs in the english language. The people probably COUNTED on them knowing the song, and it's funny because they DIDN't know it.

  • @XZohar123

So if you have never seen The Wizard of Oz that means you are ignorant or stupid? What sound reasoning you have.

  • @help4343 It means you are ignorant.... that's pretty sound reasoning. I've never met anyone who hasn't seen The Wizard of Oz in my life and that's why I thought it was funny that people didn't know it. The fact that you think it's reasonable that two people on this show don't know it because they don't know the song makes you ridiculously ignorant.

  • @XZohar123

It very unsound reasoning to think that other people have the same background as you. You are very ignorant for thinking that everyone is like the people that you know.

  • Seriously? you think that the first one is hard? It's from a freaking American Classic!

  • Back in the good ol' days when Vanna had to move!

  • Funny, I got the first one right away, but I didn't get the second one lol.

  • Bunch of retards, but I'd fuck the white ones.

  • That's what happens when three women decide to leave the kitchen...

  • Me being scottish and her being american. Her not knowing CANADIAN BORDER and me knowing so. this video title is correct. ^^

  • lol at Canadian murder

  • soo many possiblities and soo much haters

  • Canadian Murder. Obviously.

  • the first one was fucking obvious if u actually read the quote.

which ___ witch, the wicked witch

what else could it be u dumbfucks, even people in the comments, jeeeeeez

  • LMAO CANADIAN MURDER HAHAHAHA

  • Thank you Janice!

  • First one was strangely impossible, second one was a joke and I got it in a millisecond.

  • @xD0NKEYx thank god i thought i was the only one that couldnt get it

  • I don't care, but the first one wasn't that easy. That quote was atrocious.

  • lol canadian girder would be an awesome one
