By the way, love6794...white-hair is still quite handsome and he was married to "thelma" of Good Times. I'm marry him, if my hubby keels over before me....LOL

  • This is by far one of the best groups out there. I have used them and really hope to book them again soon. What a shame we do not get to see some of the true GENIUS GROUPS as much as those other types. I really will push to get them involved very soon. Just sorry I have not used them more. Guys keep up the great singing (Charlie and Al are off the hook). and the steps are just as sharp as years ago.

  • I saw these guys at the Street Coner Harmony show at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC about 3 years ago and they took the show. Al Johnson still sound great.

  • The "GREAT AL JOHNSON" on lead vocals! This is one the truly great soul sangers of all time. Writer, Composer, Keyboardist., he can do it all. I have watched him work in the studios, the brother is genious! GENIOUS!!!

  • Actually a former member of The Unifics went on to become a Temptation from 1975 to 1983, his name was Glenn Leonard!

  • I remember the battle of the groups and it was something to see, those guys could step their a** off. I remember going into the Uptown at 12 and not coming out until 9 that night and that was usually after my father came into the theater to get me and my two brothers.   • One of the baddest groups ever to grace the stage back in the day at the old Uptown Theater on Broad & Dauphin Sts in Philly....!!! Anybody remember the Battle of the Groups between The Unifics and Philly's The Ambassadors back then? Man, it was something to see...!!!!
