I've listened to this song a few times. I can't agree with this being sexist. The word "housewife" starts a debate because women don't marry the house.... OK fine. This song is about the man's gratitude to his wife and how she gave up the good life for a guy like him. This is more about his appreciation and humility. Then again I could be wrong

What a tribute to housewives! One of my favorite songs ever, because it stands testimony to the fact that there was a whole generation of women out there who were much more than just wives and mothers. They had hopes and dreams of their own, and too often they put them aside to nuture husbands and families. Most of them were happy to make the sacrifice and would change a thing. Still it's necessary to remember that they were more than just our mothers. They were amazing women. Bravo Glen.
