I already own an iPhone 4. By the way, it's not a 4th generation device, it's the 4th iteration, as 4G networks have not yet been fully developed and implemented, and won't be seen globally until about 2013.

@Ethanace the iphone 4 is a 4th generation device. the data service may not be "4g" data, but the device is the 4th generation of iphones. the original iphone is the first generation, iphone 3g is the 2nd generation (not third generation), the 3gs is 3rd generation, and iphone 4 is the newest and 4th generation. it's the 4th iteration of the iphone, also known as the fourth generation of the device.

That is strictly speaking true, for almost all devices. But the fact remains that it would misleading to actually label the product 4G, because of the nature of the networks it uses. PlayStation 3 is actually a 7th generation console, but naming it the generation would simply confuse customers. iPhone 4 is the 4th generation devices using a 3rd generation network. You can imagine the confusion to the non-tech minded consumers who are only surfing 3G speed on a 4G device.

everybody. dont install the 'all sources' pack. cause everytime you start cydia, it's gonna take about 6 min to load all the apps. just add the 'big boss' source for the compassF app and that's all the sources you'll need to add to have the 3gs look. cause the others apps like the weather icon and all that are from the modmyi source wich is automatically added when you jailbreak your iphone/ipod touch. cheers

are u on 3.0 or 3.1?If you are on 3.0 try updating with the custom firmware(jailbroken)

the sim card reader is messed up i know this because my cuzin brought me his iphone it had version 3.1 but 3.1 wasnt out back then 3.0.1 came out a week later. check if you warrenty is still good if not sell it on craigslist or something

Your right, however today i tried and it was working for me, however ill check for you. Also an updated has been made to the package so i will have to do an update myslef.

i could confirm that the source works with a few changes such as " show battery percentage " changed to " Battery percentage without ... " with a yellow driller next to it . Then download it and it should appear on usage after being enabled on winterboard . The video has been updated so you can follow from it . Thanks . Any more problems , please reply back . Thanks
