Do I remember this somewhere from a 80's cartoon with rain part. I forget many cartoon the old school back then and hardly remember them. Unlike Cow and Chicken, Dougs, Wishbone, Puzzle Place, and others I almost do remember. Hmm say. This intro VHS is from the 80's, right.
Wattamack4alt some people are getting confused about when the tape was released according to your description of this video. I know that the Scuffy the Tugboat tape was one of the very first Golden Book videos ever made and the first ones were released in 1985 (mid-80s). I suggest changing the date in the description box so people will not get confused about you know what. You could mention how long the series lasted for and maybe people will understand better.
I used to have this tape. "What was That" I thought is rather too creepy for younger kids, well the video version of it that is (not the actual book).
It's from many Golden Book Videos, such as Three Sesame Street Stories, Five Sesame Street Stories, Herbert the Timid Dragon, Richard Scarry's Animal Nursery Tales, Three Hugga Bunch Stories, The Poky Little Puppy's Favorite Stories and Richard Scarry's Old McDonald's Farm and Other Animal Tales.
This video actually came out before those ones you have mentioned kungfujiapple. This one is one of the first Golden videos that came out to stores. The version of this video that I have now is the one called "3 Favorite Stories." It has Scuffy the Tugboat, What Was That!, and Theodore Mouse Goes to Sea. However years ago, Iised to have this version of the tape called Scuffy the Tugboat and Friends too. The content in the version I currently have is exactly the same as this tape.
Add the He-Man Video series and Tawny Scrawny Lion's Jungle Tales and "3 Golden Bible Tales" with Noah's Ark, David & Goliath, and The Story of Jonah also used this variant.
Oh man!!! I remembered this!! I used to watch Golden Book videos all the time when I was a kid!! Thanks for posting this!!

This logo is better compared to the Kids Klassics logo for public domain tapes.
