@doubleG5000 Lol, she was 18 in the olympics. That was the end of her "career" anyway. She's amazing at gymnastics but when was the last time you saw a 22 year old still in gymnastics? You just dont see that, ever. I actually think in 2008 MoJo was 21, The oldest gymnast ever to compete in the olympics.

i hate how this routine of a champion gymnast who consistently works hard and will reach the olympics has scarely one fifteenth of the views somehting that reads "gymnastics death" recieves. it's terrible. people never appreciate gymnastics for the beautiful sport it is, which Nastia so wonderfully reminds us of.

To me it's really a shame that the floor routine is taken up with so much tumbling now, especially with someone like Nastia, who you can see has really great dance ability; today's female gymnasts do so many great athletic skills but I miss the dance element that used to make the floor routine so entertaining by putting together a great song, great choreography, and great tumbling as one element, something like Kim Zmeskal doing In the Mood.

I feel sorry for her. She didn't have a great championships the year before, and she came in 2008,the year of the Olympics, hoping to redeem herself and went there and did the worst possible thing to do,fall. But I'm so glad she cleaned it up for the Olympics because that double front at the All Around Finals was amazing!!! :D

The ankle injury made it harder for her to land things backwards. That's why she lands forward on all of her dismounts and tumbles (except the third one, obviously).

They try to loose weight but are the first ones to ridicule a girl for being "too skinny". She might have been slight for an American gymnast, but you don't need to be built like a gorilla or fat like the average American to do what she did. I think Nastia is better.

She's not all power, she balances it with grace and artistic-ness, whereas Shawn is pure power.

She is a very good gymnast.. but something in me just keeps telling me that Shawn is a little bit better then her.. I just watched Shawn's floor routine and it was flawless.. where as Nastia had a few trips.. but then again, Nastia is better than Shawn at bars.. So they are both good in there own ways.. But I still think that Shawn is just a little bit better.. They are both amazing gymnasts :)

Although Shawn may have harder skills, flawless skills, etc. Nastia still is more of an artistic gymnastic.Even Shawn's dead on tumbling for beam has nothing artistic to it.She's too much power. And for that reason I like Nastia much better.I think Shawn is a very tight gymnast as Nastia is loose?weird.I think Shawn and Nastia are amazing,but I like Nastia better. Not for difficulty or scores. Just style.

I think her only big mistake was punching a bit forward instead of up on her handspring double front, but she might have been able to save it by straightening out her legs on the landing.

Nevertheless she is still one of the most beautiful and talented gymnasts in history :)

SHes really good but i like shawn more.. because she points her toes and that but its seems sloppy.. and sometimes she bends her feeet but shes really good and she has many gold medlas to porve it.. @Stonymypony Everybody makes mistakes, I mean she can't be the best all of the time, she got 8 tenths taken off for the fall and one tenth taken off for her one foot going out of bounds.

Either way Nastia is the more successful, famous gymnast. I've been doing gymnastics for nearly a decade and what Nastia did was something legendary.
