OMG. This is the best music to fall asleep to. I always wake with vivid memories of my dreams, and have been refreshed. Eno is truly in touch with Morpheous.
The best thing about ambient music must be that once you have the right sound, you can play centered around the theme you want, and whatever you play, it is perfect in the end.
Although the lovely bones wasn't a true story, in a way it was. There are so many evil men that trick little girls into things and murder them. We don't know where half of them are. Maybe they are in the inbetween too, despite the selfishness and bitching on this video, I think we owe all those missing childeren something. Isn't this film suposed to have taught a lesson? I think we aught to dedicate this song to those families with lost childeren and going through trauma. The lovely bones<3
@gargaj what the fuck are you on about? ... this and the subsequent albums eno produced, invented ambient music...or what idiots like you , would call "chill out" and therefore inspired scores of artists to realise more sparse and ethereal sounding music, instead of just guitar noise....go away!!
@gavinp72 You entirely misunderstood me, in fact that's exactly what I was saying - Eno not only paved the way for ambient but pretty much did everything that was possible with it.
@Bigmalletrs minecraft? Your acutely bringing one of the greatest ambient songs ever to some stupid 2d game? Please don't do that, instead quote a famous book or something a little more respectful to this song.
@blindmansarrow Yes looking back at my comment, I can see it is a pretty stupid thing to say. I've never played minecraft but I hear a lot about it, I find it hard to believe that game is even mentioned on a video like this.
@MrDataCode no biggie :-p i don't see the connection to minecraft at all either. but i definitely could see this being great to read or play an endless, simple video game to

It's hard to be a music producer knowing that everything cool was already done before you, even the stuff that only involves a single piano.

@gavinp72 Sorry to say...Satie did it way earlier. The entire Eno ethos is borrowed...right down to the concept of furniture music

@Xaxaar I would imagine because if you've ever played Minecraft, you'll notice a lot of C418's tracks sound similar to, or inspired by this.

@MrDataCode lol. so referencing any given "famous book" is inherently more respectful??? like Da Vinci Code?? HA
minecraft is just as legitimate as, say, Hans-Joachim Roedelius' work or Parajanov's work or Joyce's work...

You're fucking stupid. For one, minecraft is 3-D.
It's not disrespectful to say "this sounds similar to minecraft."
Eat a dick, sir.
